Vind je ideale hotel in Higashi-Kishu

'The onsen was just okay. I anticipated much better. The room was fine. What really bothered us was that they said that reservations made on Expedia do not support making a reservation for dinner. And, such reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Thus, they would not serve us dinner. The ryokan (a hotel) is way up a hill. They have a shuttle bus but they will only provide a trip to and from the Kumano-Shi station before and after check in. So, we had to take a taxi to go to...

'Mon hôtel préféré de ce voyage au Japon. L'hôtel est luxueux pour un prix abordable. La chambre était gigantesque avec une vue mer. Le personnel, du moins, les personnes rencontrées, ne parle pas anglais mais est absolument fantastique et attentionné. Il y a un accès à la plage. 'This hotel is a few minutes from the station and the beach. Well organized and clean. People are very helpful. Kumano City is not a very touristic area and you need some basic Japanese. In the surroundings are beautiful nature trails along the coast and wonderful rice terraces in the mountains. 'Whole hotel looks like it was good 20 years ago and someone just forgot to do anything with it since. We booked a non smoking room but when we entered the room the smoke was so heavy I could taste it and there were burn marks all over the carpet. We asked to be moved and got a new room which smellt like a mixture of smoke and peppermint airfreshener to hide it. At least in this room it was still manageable. Stains in the carpet but bedlinnen and bathroom were clean. Personell was friendly...

'Dit is een werkelijk prachtige oude Ryokhan, een absolute aanrader als je met de auto reist. Heel erg mooi gebouw en erg goed eten. De eigenaar was erg aardig. Goed te combineren met een wandeling in Odaigahara.'

'Special place traditional Japanese style cabin like but on the coast. We had an amazing stay, on a walk to get some dinner supplies at a market we were offered to come celebrate a holiday with community members, a truly special experience. Check in and out with lock box very convenient, be careful driving in as the streets are narrow and be respectful :D'

'This is our second stay at Hotel Urashima. They've changed ownership so there is a difference in checking in There are stand alone Kiosk to check in. Not so personal. We usually get 1/2 board which is buffet breakfast and buffet dinner. Both breakfast and dinner have several pre dinner cooking devices that you cook your fish or vegetables. Breakfast could be improved. My favorite is the variety of onsens and the cave grottto is my favorite. There is also a shiatsu massage service.'
