  • Fantastische waarde! Kom en geniet van dit onlangs gerenoveerde huis in plantagestijl dat op slechts 5 minuten van het centrum van Hilo ligt. Dit is de perfecte plek om met familie en vrienden te komen, want er zijn 2 huizen beschikbaar op het terrein. De huizen zijn net buiten de gebaande paden, weg van toeristische gebieden, in een lokale levendige buurt. Perfect gelegen om zowel de winkels en musea van het centrum van Hilo te verkennen als de vele prachtige watervallen, botanische tuinen en meer langs de verbazingwekkende Hamakua-kust!

Great location, Good fit for 4 guests. Comfortable beds. Easy check in and check out. Koki frogs weren’t that bad at all. Mahalo!

Home away from home

Nice cozy place that make me feel at home. Just a few minutes away from Hilo Town. Large kitchen to prepare home cooked meals. 2 full baths for our convenience.

Wainaku/Hilo

The location was convenient and we were able to access all of East Hawaii. My daughter and son-in-law liked the retro charm of the "old plantation house". A few details would make the stay even better. Warm water to the bath room sink, a tub stopper that fit and a washer and drier in the unit.

A taste of living local

Camp houses were the typical house for workers on sugar plantations. This house has been updated but still retains the camp house essence. If you want to experience a taste of the local way of living this house is a good option. It's location is very convenient to Hilo and the main highway.

It was pretty good

My favorite part about this place was the avacado tree in the back yard! The avacados were huge and tasted amazing. The rooster noise was fine. The house itself was pretty old and kindof rundown. The lack of dryer was annoying. Location was pretty good.

Noisy house

The house was clean and nice. The big problem was we were awakened by the roosters in the trees right outside the back of the house starting to crow at 4 in the morning non stop We tried everything like closing all the windows and wearing ear plugs sleeping on the couch, pillows over our head but nothing helped

Property needs lots of work, tub has lots of grout, refrigerator has some mold. The floor feels a little wired near the refrigerator.

Extreme noise warning

This property should come with a warning that from 3:00am-8:00am every day there are multiple families of roosters/chickens that make it impossible to sleep—even with earplugs. They live in the trees surrounding the property and under the house. The noise is constant during that time. The interior and exterior of the property was presented to us unclean. Black moldy shower curtain, floors so dirty your feet turn black from walking around. There were five bags of rotting garbage with maggots greeting us upon arrival. They were piled outside the bedroom windows, so the first night we had to cover our faces to try to sleep and avoid smell. The property manager sent someone the second day to pick up trash. Stained couch is “third bedroom”. Washer in the living room is loud and makes it hard to have conversation if you are washing clothes. No dryer—only drying rack. Both of us agreed this was the worst VRBO we have stayed in. This was truly an unfortunate choice.

Wainaku house

House is old but clean and Convenient to town. However, To much noise from chickens. Had to use earplugs to sleep. Enjoyed the gardenias. Had trouble with the tv till owner fixed it the next day. All in all the lodging was ok

Trip home

We had a wonderful stay with my Sister living only half a mile away. The walk was very pleasant and I enjoyed the warm sunshine.
