The Space:
Comfortably accommodating up to 8 guests, the home is ideal for families, groups of friends and longer stays. With generous living spaces and plenty of room to spread out, everyone can enjoy their own space while still having wonderful areas to come together.
The home features four spacious bedrooms. Three are furnished with comfortable queen beds, while the fourth has two single beds—perfect for children, friends or family groups. Each bedroom also provides wardrobe space, a desk and its own heater for comfortable year-round stays.
There are two modern bathrooms, including one with a large bathtub where you can relax after a day exploring Hobart and southern Tasmania. Two separate toilets add extra convenience, particularly for larger groups.
At the heart of the home is the bright and spacious open-plan kitchen, dining and living area. Large windows frame the surrounding trees and fill the space with natural light, creating a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere.
The fully equipped kitchen provides modern appliances and generous bench space for preparing meals, while the large dining area is perfect for gathering together over breakfast or dinner. The home is located in peaceful Taroona, a leafy riverside suburb just south of Hobart. Surrounded by native bushland, you'll enjoy a wonderful sense of escape while still being within easy reach of Hobart's restaurants, shopping, waterfront and many of southern Tasmania's most popular attractions.
Take a stroll down to Taroona Beach and the beautiful foreshore, where you can enjoy swimming, coastal walks, playground and BBQ facilities while taking in views across the Derwent River. The Taroona Foreshore Track winds along the coastline through native bushland and connects Taroona and Hinsby beaches.
Nearby you'll also find the historic Shot Tower, one of Taroona's best-known landmarks. Climb to the top for wonderful views across the Derwent River and surrounding coastline, then stop for a coffee or something sweet at the tearoom.
The Tree House is also conveniently positioned for exploring Hobart and southern Tasmania. Approximate driving times include:

Back at The Tree House, keep an eye out for Tasmania's native birds and wildlife amongst the surrounding trees. It's the combination of bushland, beaches, river views and easy access to Hobart that makes this such a lovely place to stay.
Getting Around:
Having a car is recommended if you’d like to make the most of your stay and explore Hobart and southern Tasmania. The property is approximately 15 minutes by car from Hobart CBD, with convenient access to Sandy Bay, Kingston and surrounding attractions.
For guests without a car, Metro Tasmania buses run regularly along the Channel Highway in Taroona, providing services towards Hobart CBD and Kingston. Please check the current Metro Tasmania timetable for routes and departure times.
Uber and taxis are also available throughout the Hobart area, providing another convenient option for getting around.
