This was my first time renting a whole house at the beach. There were a few things that customer service took care of but you may want to make sure you have extra toilet paper, paper towels, trashbags, ect. The provide a kit with dishwashing soap for sink and dishwasher, a new sponge, a pack of laundry detergent. There were some left over by other guests so we didn't have to buy any but we were surprised to not find toilet paper after the roll was empty. We took coffee filters but there were plenty there. Plenty of dishes and cookware. The only thing we brought from home was an electric griddle. They had everything else. You only get one towel per person (6 were there on day one but we had to ask for more as we had 9 people) Took a whole day to get extras so you may want to have plenty of your own if you don't want to be doing laundry all the time. The deck on the dune was a great asset! We were able to leave chairs, floats, shoes, ect. and nothing was taken. We loved not having to deal with umbrellas in the sand. It was near the public access so there was a porta john if you didn't want to go into the house wet to use the bathroom. Lots of toys/chairs in the closet under the house. There is an outside shower under the deck that got the most use from us. We didn't have any rain but if we did, there were games, puzzles and books available. Plus a TV in each room as well as living room, we just didn't know how to work it with 7 remotes. LOL
We acquired a timeshare so we won't have a need for a house in the future but would consider going back now that we know what to expect. Have fun!
