The Old Inlet Bookshop, Mermaid Café and B & B ligt aan Main Street in het prachtige centrum van Homer, vlak bij de Sterling Highway naar het strand. In een gerenoveerde historische blokhut is er een gebruikte boekwinkel die gebruikte boeken van hoge kwaliteit biedt in de meeste genres. Naast de deur is er het Mermaid Café dat lunch en diner serveert. Boven is de zeemeermin B & B in een charmante Victoriaanse stijl constructie - het is goed ingericht en voorzien van lokale kunstwerken.

In een privé, bosrijke omgeving in de oude stad, Homer, biedt de zeemeermin B & B een mooie, schone plek om te verblijven met een queensize Posturepedic-bed in de slaapkamer en een full-size uitklapbare futon in de woonkamer. De eetzaal bevindt zich in het torentje met ramen die uitkijken over de baai van Kachemak en de bergen en gletsjers daarbuiten. De keuken is volledig uitgerust en heeft alles wat nodig is om maaltijden te bereiden. Buiten op het privéterras is een hot tub gebouwd voor vijf personen die een manier biedt om te ontspannen en de zorgen van de dag weg te spoelen terwijl u geniet van een drankje en een geweldig uitzicht op de oceaan / bergen.

Het hotel ligt op een paar minuten lopen van het strand, supermarkten, banken, postkantoor, bioscoop en andere eetgelegenheden. We nemen verse lokaal gebrande biologische koffiebonen op. We verheugen ons op uw verblijf.

The owner was very helpful. Gave us ideas of places to eat, and some things to do. The apartment was lovely, very roomy, a little alcove where to eat your breakfast and look outside. The first floor is the owner’s bookshop a wonderful place to browse and find that treasured book that you didn’t even know you needed!

This apartment was perfect. Andy always responded promptly to any questions that we had before our trip and was totally accessible during our stay. Check-in could not have been easier. We were surprised that there was a fresh bouquet of flowers and a fruit basket awaiting us. The apartment had everything that we could possibly need and looked exactly like the pictures on the website. The apartment was immaculate and located in a central area. I don't think that we could have found a more perfect place to stay in Homer. My only regret is that we didn't stay here for a longer period of time. Next time we come to Homer (I have a son who lives there) we will definitely be staying here again. My son has already recommended Andy's place to his friends that have family planning to visit. Oh...besides the lovely view, the short walk to the beach and restaurants, we had an added bonus in that a family of eagles was nesting right next to us. It was a magical visit for us and we are looking for our next visit to Homer. Thank you, Andy for making this such a wonderful experience for us.

Came to Homer for several days of fishing. It was a great location, close to groceries and other venues. Was there for 5 nights.The hosts are great! The accommodation is great for a married couple with 2 or 3 children. Or just a couple needing a great get away. It was very clean and everything worked great!

Beautiful, quiet place to stay. Safeway and a laundromat are both close by and we loved walking to breakfast at Wild Honey. Bring sleep masks in the summer, especially if someone will be sleeping in the living area.

Very nice accommodations with a nice view of the bay. We ate the first night a Fat Olives, excellent pizza. The second night we ate at The Kannery, very good food, a little pricier.The owners left us a tasty blueberry breakfast item which was good. Not "breakfast" provided, but it helped. Note that you have to carry your luggage up the outside stairs but luckily I am still in decent shape.Went halibut fishing on a 57 foot charter and caught our limit of 2 each. Rough waters and drove out 2.5 hours to get to the spot where we caught 48 halibut in a short time. Bring Dramamine for sure no matter what. We ended up taking a second table right away and we were glad we did.

It was incredibly inviting and cozy staying here. We highly recommend choosing to stay here and look forward in returning here! The hosts are very receptive and welcoming. They welcomed us with fresh fruit and dessert. The place was kept very tidy and clean. It had all the necessities including items to make yourself a cup of coffee or cook if needed. The location was superb was it was quiet and close enough to the Spit. The place was located on top of a library/cafe which was so unique and interesting as we felt like it was a “home” away from home. Can’t wait to return back someday to stay in this wonderful gem!
