Dissappointed with accommodations specifically spiders in the bed, very damp and musty bedding as well as unsightly entrance with old machinery, cluttered areas and person sleeping/snoring on front porch. Had discussion with host regarding concerns and extra person policy which I was not aware of as am new to VRBO. When I called VRBO for clarification they could not even tell me the policy. After further discussion with both hosts, it was mutually agreed that we would not stay the second night and they were going to call VRBO and give a refund for second night and if any charges were valid per policy these would be deducted from refund to make it right. We followed instructions when vacating and even asked host to inspect premises before we left. They said they were on phone with VRBO requesting refund so we left. I followed up with VRBO to make sure all was as agreed and they said host would not give refund. I called host asking why they did not do what they said and they denied promising refund. We would not have left if they had not told us we would get a refund, because we had to go pay for other accommodations which meant paying for two places for the same night which amounts to hundreds of dollars. I was disappointed with accommodations and appalled by host not doing what they said and do not wish other travelers to have a similar experience. Location is good if needing to be close to Waipio Valley. Everything else about it not so much.Happier Travels To You.

Wonderful hosts! Farm setting with a spectacular view of the ocean. The studio has an efficient outdoor kitchen & patio surrounded by fruit trees & tropical plants. This is wonderful getaway, equipped with a quiet setting, outdoor kitchen, a cuddly cat and a friendly dog. There is limited cellular service near the property, given the rural setting, but the apt has WiFi for your convenience and connectivity. We stayed with them a week and it was a wonderful, quiet, calm, relaxing stay. Adelina treated us like family - shared fruit from their garden with us! Bed was very comfortable. I slept on the pull out couch, and it was very comfortable as well. Water pressure was amazing - better than 5 star hotel pressure. Full size fridge for all your snacks and food. Fresh ground coffee and coffee maker available. Any cookware (pots, pans, silverware) you might possibly need available at the outdoor kitchen - but there are plenty of food options at Honokaa (don’t spend your vacation cooking!). Ocean breeze at night, you could see all the stars. Located on a quiet street in between Honokaa and Waipio valley. Absolutely ideal if you want to get a feel for local living and get away from all the tourists. Great midpoint to explore both Hilo and Kona (they are both 1.5 hours away driving). We also loved their dog (Storm) and cat (Magnolia). Would absolutely stay here again and recommend to our family and friends.

Amazing location, wonderful host!

We loved our stay here and can only recommend. Very nice and clean, the couch is a comfortable fold out couch, and everything you may need is provided. It is a very peaceful place with stunning views from the room as well as the outdoor kitchen and outdoor seating. They have a nice cat and dog to chase the wild pigs away from their fruit trees. Be aware that the telephone number listed on Vrbo is a landline number, so you need to call, not text. The property is a gem and Adelina is the kindest most amazing host. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit the Big Island. Mahalo, Adelina!

Bright Start to the Day

Beautifully quiet studio enveloped by the greenery of Waipio and the dark blue ocean offshore. Wonderful host! The studio ambassadors Storm Popoki (cat) greeted the day with me as I enjoyed a cup of coffee and planned my day. Overall, wonderful place!
