If you are looking for peace and quiet, just a stones throw from the madness of Waikiki, this is the right place. We have stayed in the building many times and have always had a beautiful suite. This time however was a disappointment. We arrived just five minutes before midnight on December 31st so had to get in via a lock box which was fine. We had excellent directions from David at the management company.. When we entered the suite our first impression was grubby and funky which is not what we expected from the photos. The bathroom needs serious updating,; the blinds were very difficult to adjust., and raise and lower. The art work (not shown in the photo) was the stuff of nightmare.; the television was on the coffee table shoved against the wall. The kitchen utensils were old and basic things like a vegetable peeler were absent. This is a small apartment and the owner has left things in the cupboards and drawers. Not good. I could go on, but can only say this apartment needs serious updating. just to make it liveable. ON the positive side, the management acted swiftly when we made our concerns known, replacing what they could , having carpets shampooed (why, Oh why does anyone want carpets in Hawaii especially when the apartment is right on the beach) and having the TV installed on the wall, which made the place at least liveable. Also positive is the wonderful location and it turned out a great group of Canadian and American snowbirds who meet every night for sunset drinks. Thanks to them and the management company rep David, we managed to enjoy our extended stay., but would never rent that apartment again. Note to owner. Please bring this apartment up to its full potential. If not, seriously drop the rent. It certainly wasn't worth what we paid, even with the discount. It could be wonderful. And please replace that "Art"
