'The lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. We were very satisfied with our room, beds were comfortable and the TV was big with Netflix and YouTube which is a definite plus for us. The premises were very quiet and convenient to coffee shops and grocery stores. We visited the bird sanctuary which was very close by our hotel.We will definitely be staying here again next time we’re in Arcata. '

'Hotel is being renovated. Eventually adding a restaurant. All the rooms in our building are new. No construction noise when we stayed. It is well located with food options a short walk or drive nearby. The only negative I could think of is the exit/ entrance. It is hard to see to exit the hotel, hopefully they add an exit on the other side which would make it so much easier ( they have it fenced off at the moment). Old town is a short drive away.'

'Checking in the owner gives you a tour and provides the history of the property and the area around the property. She is an excellent host. The rooms are clean and comfortable. If you like historic mansions this is an opportunity to stay the night on one. The owner is also looking to open a restaurant and I look forward to returning. '

'het hotel heeft ons echt verrast en de kamers waren in positieve zijn compleet anders dan op de foto. De kamers waren namelijk compleet vernieuwd en gemoderniseerd. Verder is het qua geluid heel rustig en je hoord letterlijk niets, dus ook niet de weg waar het hotel aanligt. Ook de wifi was prima en lekker snel. In de buurt vind je overigens veel restaurants waar je heerlijk kan eten.'

'We did not plan ahead and needed a place to stay on the 4th of July. This gem of a propert had a room open at a decent price! The front desk staff had no customer service skills or information on the breakfast offered or pool. We were able to see the fireworks from our room which was a great suprise. The breakfast was horrible very few options and messy.'
