'I adore Edwin and his family. They took very good care of this solo woman traveler. He feed me very well!! The atmosphere was very authentic to how the locals live in the jungle. It is rustic. Shower did not have hot water.. I did have the room with a.c. Very nice. I will for sure go here again.'

'For anyone looking for a small beautiful hidden gem resort close to San Ignacio, I'd highly recommend Villa Massis in Bullet Tree Falls! It's only a quick 10 min drive into San Ignacio. We had a 2-bedroom suite for the 4 of us and it was perfect. We booked airport transportation, transfer to Placencia, several rides into San Ignacio and all of our tours with them. Staff was friendly and went out of their way to help us.'

'Amazing place, guides were incredibly knowledgeable about the land and the Mayan culture. The food was delicious, and the place was just beautiful. Onsite hikes in the rain forest and floating the river in inner tubes are well worth it. Also worth seeing the Mayan ruins and cave exploring were well worth it.'

The property was beautiful, the hikes were as advertised and the excursions were well worth the money and hosted by knowledgeable and very interesting people! 'Calico Jack's in a hidden gem in Belize! You really feel like you are in the jungle on their lush grounds. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and they clearly care about their guests. We loved the activities they offer, such as the zip lining only a 10 min walk from our room.
Be sure to stay for breakfast and order the Stuffed Fry Jacks, they were the best we had in Belize!
