'The staff at the hotel were excellent, extremely friendly and helpful throughout the stay.
Entering the room there was an odour issue, this was alleviated after turning on the AC for an hour or so, the following day the AC was turned off by cleaning and the odour issue returned again.
Breakfast could be improved, both in terms of options available and quality of food served.
The hotel also lacked amenities with no gym (even if basic). The room was advertised as a suite and appears relatively...

'Considering this is a 4-star property, I expected much better. The room and lobby was not cleaned properly, and the quality of the wooden fittings, especially the doors, was quite poor. The food was decent, but overall the experience fell well below the standards I expected from a 4-star hotel.'

'Lovely views from the room and balcony although sitting outside too long invites the local cheeky monkeys to grab your food.
Bed was very comfortable. The room was quite small and no real space for two suitcases but we made do. The hotel staff very helpful and friendly. They also provided a driver Arun who took us to our next destination. He was a brilliant, safe, skilled driver.
The hotel location was easy walking distance to Mall Rd (the hill is quite steep from the hotel so agility is...

The negatives are the building and grounds pictured in the listing are no longer in use. They are being replaced with a completely new hotel which is under construction. There are no 23 teas offered and the menu is limited and no longer intercontinental. What rooms and facilities are left are in serious need of updating. The biggest problem is that they only accept cash and...
