'Alvorens de reis vanaf Akureyri richting Borgarnes aan te vangen, nam ik voor de goede orde contact op om door te geven dat ik na de uiterlijke inchecktijd van 19:00 uur zou aankomen. De zeer behulpzame dame, deelde mede dat mijn komst rond 21:00 géén enkel probleem was. Een en ander bleek na aankomst zonder enige overdrijving, alles klopte, de kamer met kitchenette, uitstekende sanitaire voorzieningen. Vlakbij ligt Borgarnes, en beukt de Atlantische Oceaan op het basalt wat hier aangelegd is...

'These cabins are very remote! Its a long drive along a gravel road that has some significant pot holes. We had a 4x4 so managed fine but did take it easy. Owners emailed a property pack over which was super detailed including how to access the property, how to locate to, facilities provided in it etc. The reception areas were large and well furnished. Bedrooms tiny but comfortable enough. We struggle with any kind of decent flow from the shower but able to put that into perspective given...

'Erla's cozy red cottage was in the perfect place for us to get to after arriving early in Reykjavik. We were easily able to get to the things we wanted to see and do...Borgarnes and the Snefellsnes Penn. The house was spotless, the living area was spacious, and the beds were comfortable. We so enjoyed the hot tub after a long day witnessing the magic of Iceland. We would have stayed longer if there had been more days available.'

'This house and the area are beautiful. We stayed here for 3 nights and two evenings we saw the northern lights from the hot tub. The house is very luxurious and everything is there (also a lot of towels). Top! The Snæfellsjökull National Park is not far and is beautiful to visit. The Golden Circle is also easy to do from here. We really enjoyed everything. The communication with the owner of the house went perfectly and everything was clearly explained. We definitely recommend this house.'
