'A clean place! I didn't see any yucky corners or forgotten surfaces. I was pleasantly surprised by this beautiful hotel, which also contains the Optical Museum. WOW! I love how the historical features have been preserved, and importantly the Danbury marble fireplace which is a feature of the museum. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT: after a long day of travel I wanted to hit the hot tub after dinner, but it closed at 9:00pm. 'We were here just for the night and we enjoyed our stay, Friendly man at the reception. Large room with a king bed. All the things you need when you're traveling. The room was clean. In the morning they offered a modest breakfast, but enough to start the day.'

'Room was so cold I had to get a space heater even after complaining about it and given extra blankets. They only allow two bath towels per room so I had to buy bath towels from Target. Sink was slow to drain. The tub and shower both ran at the same time. No microwave or fridge in room. Most of the staff was okay except the young girl at the front desk who was extremely unprofessional and rude. Inexpensive hotel, but not worth the money you're saving. '
