'I stayed in a beautiful, tastefully renovated 1 bedroom loft in the best part of Old Port with my teenage daughter. The block was lively and we had the best views of it but what was interesting was how quiet our place remained. I didn't need to rent a car as everything we could possibly need was in walking distance. There is an abundance of art and food in this area. Things are very quick to get to. Even the airport was about a 15 minute uber. I highly recommend the Docent if you are looking...

'Fantastic stay. We had the Stovall room which was very spacious. Bed was huge and comfy and the bathroom was also very big. Nice shower with lots of water pressure and nice products. Service was super friendly and everything was clearly explained. We’re lucky enough to be able to park next to the building. Only thing that could finish things off would be a small fridge in the room and a coffee maker.'

'The property is in a great location and at first seemed fine but after being there for a few days I noticed a few things - the sink in both the bathroom and the kitchen did not drain well (the bathroom sink actually took hours to drain), the faucet in the kitchen leaked and there living room was not cleaned thoroughly when we checked in. The bed was also very uncomfortable. I think this is a good place if you want to stay a day or so but not great for extended stay. They also do not provide...

'Pretty ordinary for a Hyatt and expensive. Our room was sufficiently large but again very basic. Our biggest beef was street noise and thin walls. We could hear people talking and flushing toilets all around us. The staff was great and the location is excellent. I think you can do better in downtown Portland.'

'The room was nicely sized. The bed was so-so, not bad, but little lower than I like. Big refrigerator. The place was quiet. Breakfast was good. Downtown Portland and garage parking. Four nights, walkable for my needs of a mile or less. I enjoyed my stay.'

They had a power outage and we were not able to get to our rooms. The staff would escort each guest to their rooms. They really stepped up and made the process as hassle free as possible. One tip. Don't do valet! Street parking is free overnight and I parked a block away and stayed there for three days. Not evenba city ticket. So spare yourself the $40...
