'Excellent location, walking distance to old city, fort, etc. Check-in was smooth. The 2 standard room we originally got were not what we booked (Queen beds instead of King, room much smaller than we booked) but after addressing this, we got 2 other rooms matching our reservation. After 1 night, we asked to again switch 1 room since the airco smelled which they did. 'Hotel is very conveniently situated in the old city of Cartagena. It’s and old convent that has been transformed into a hotel. For Colombia it’s an extremely expensive hotel but it’s a nice experience to be pampered and well looked after. Room was nice and comfortable, although the hotel and rooms show some signs of wear and tear. So the hotel management shouldn’t forget to continue to invest in maintenance. But in summary: we had a great stay.'

'Casa Carolina is niet zomaar een hotel, het is een belevenis. Het hotel heeft een eeuwenoude geschiedenis en dat is op veel plekken nog goed te zien. 'It’s a great property on a nice location. But I booked a design suite, arrived at 1.30 pm. Room not ready (normal). Ready after 3 pm so I went in the city to have lunch. Came back at 3.30, received the key and guess what? Room was still occupied with clothes, suitecases, not cleaned. After an hour they gave me another (normal) room. Above that the rooftop pool is empty, bar not open, elevator doesn’t work. Got nof compensation other than a (nice) drink. So overall not at all what I paid for €...
