'Hotel is very conveniently situated in the old city of Cartagena. It’s and old convent that has been transformed into a hotel. For Colombia it’s an extremely expensive hotel but it’s a nice experience to be pampered and well looked after. Room was nice and comfortable, although the hotel and rooms show some signs of wear and tear. So the hotel management shouldn’t forget to continue to invest in maintenance. But in summary: we had a great stay.'

'Casa Carolina is niet zomaar een hotel, het is een belevenis. Het hotel heeft een eeuwenoude geschiedenis en dat is op veel plekken nog goed te zien. Onze kamer was comfortabel met een fijn groot bed en leuke details. Het is zeer centraal gelegen, maar in de kamer hoor je geen geluiden van buiten. Het ontbijt was heerlijk. '

'It’s a great property on a nice location. But I booked a design suite, arrived at 1.30 pm. Room not ready (normal). Ready after 3 pm so I went in the city to have lunch. Came back at 3.30, received the key and guess what? Room was still occupied with clothes, suitecases, not cleaned. After an hour they gave me another (normal) room. "Wij kozen een kamer met uitzicht op de stad. Deze was echter ver beneden verwachting, harde bedden, oud meubilair. Gelukkig kregen wij een upgrade reeds de volgende dag. We hadden een geweldig verblijf. Kamers schoon, prachtig uitzicht op het strand, echt aardig personeel zeer attent. Het ontbijt vond ik iets eenzijdig, maar de rest van het gezelschap had er geen moeite mee. Wij gaan zeker terug."
