'Er goed en goede service'

'Generally the rooms are to a high standard. The breakfasts are excellent, and the staff really friendly. Easy car parking. Only quibble is that we tried to book another 2 day stay, the system didn’t allow this - wanted 3 or more: this may vary with time of year.'

'A hotel at a great location on the golf court, with a fantastic restaurant. Unfortunately the state of the building is not as nice as the picture shows, and the windows are desperately requiring maintenance. Service was OK, but I was given 2 single beds instead of a double bed, and they neglected to inform me that Wifi was free of charge. A lot of apologies, but not really what I expected for the price paid. Still an interesting experience and the restaurant made up for it.'

'Looking quite tired now in some of the rooms and have had to report maintenance requirements in different on my last 3 stays. Change of policy to not offer breakfast as part of a package without any change in price is sneaky and wasn't communicated at booking.'

'Echt een super Engelse locatie. Prima ontbijten. Zeer behulpzaam en vriendelijke bediening. De kamers werden elke dag geruimd. De badkamer elke dag schone handdoeken. Handdoeken met een afmeting dat ik me schaamde om ze te gebruiken. Fantastisch mooie uitzichten vanaf het terras naar de zeer wijdde omgeving van Cheshire. Wij hadden er geen probleem mee, integendeel, maar het ligt op een afgelegen locatie. Een buitengewoon vriendelijke locatie. Echt Cheshire. Je moet echt met een auto komen.'

'We had a very warm welcome from the friendly staff and were shown to the room which was clean and bright. The food that evening was excellent, and as it was a warm evening we spent a pleasant time sitting outside with our drinks afterwards. Continental breakfast was served promptly at 8 am and the addition of fresh strawberries and blueberries was a definite plus! Check in / check out was swift and efficient.
