Unbelievable Property for Amazing Price
I have a yearly ski trip with my friends from college. We decided to try somewhere new - Rancho Alegre Lodge in Jackson. What an experience. Plenty of comfortable beds, multiple living rooms for hanging out, huge kitchen. Rex and Connor were amazing to have on the property. The goats and chickens were such a cool touch. There’s a hot tub, sauna, and several wood burning fire places. It’s not far from town, about 15 minutes. Nice and quiet and perfect for a big getaway. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

A little slice of Wyoming heaven
If you're staying in or near Jackson and you're looking for an authentic Wyoming experience, look no further than Rancho Alegre Lodge. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, Rex was there to make our stay comfortable. Every request was taken care of quickly which elevated the experience. We were hosting a private group on a wellness retreat, and the home had a variety of accommodation options which was nice. Rex even offered to take our group on an evening sunset walk with the goats as well as build us a bonfire for our last night, both of which we enjoyed greatly. The home is a bit on the older side and could benefit from some TLC and a good deep clean, but nothing we experienced detracted from the overall wonderful time we had there. Overall, it felt very eclectic, cozy, and authentic. We can't wait to return again soon!

Best Family Reunion Ever!!!
With 18 family members ages 8-80, the Rancho Allegre created a magical stay filled with lifetime memories for our family reunion. When I booked I didn’t appreciate how spacious the property was. Our family never felt “on top of each other” yet had space large enough to gather as a clan. We never saw the children, they gathered eggs, played waffle ball, and learned to play a mean game of pool. The teens put down their phones and made memories. Rex was a wonderful caretaker honest about check in time when we asked about checking in early (he kept us updated throughout the day) and was truly available 24/7. Occasionally during a lifetime the stars align and everything is perfect…that describes out family’s stay at the Rancho Alegre.

Fantastic potential…..needs to be updated/cleaned. Great views and having the animals on the property was special. We spent a lot of time on the back deck which needs to be addressed….new patio/deck furniture would be nice. Rex and Ike as property managers were excellent. We appreciated all off their assistance.

We had 6 families stay. Rex was awesome and was always available to assist. Started fires and set everything up. Even helped us with a dead battery in a vehicle. Truly a gem of a house with an amazing location with excellent service. We enjoyed just sitting on the deck or the yard with amazing views. An elk herd worked its way across the property one morning and was a treat. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy what Jackson has to offer.

A Truly Delightful Stay at Alegre Lodge in Jackson, Wyoming!
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Rancho Alegre Lodge in beautiful Jackson, Wyoming, and I cannot express enough how wonderful my experience was. First and foremost, the location of the lodge is absolutely breathtaking. Nestled amidst the stunning natural beauty of the Tetons, I was surrounded by majestic mountains and picturesque landscapes. The views from the lodge were simply awe-inspiring, providing a sense of tranquility and a genuine connection with nature. The lodge itself is a true gem. It exuded warmth, comfort, and a rustic charm that perfectly complemented the surrounding environment. The attention to detail in every aspect of the lodge was evident, from the cozy furnishings to the thoughtful amenities provided. The accommodations were exceptional for our entire group. Lots of options from bunk beds to private rooms. Most of the rooms had large windows that allowed you to wake up to stunning views of the mountains each morning. It truly felt like a sanctuary. Finally, the staff at the ranch were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive to every need. They went above and beyond to ensure my stay was exceptional, offering valuable recommendations for local attractions, dining options, and outdoor activities. Their knowledge and passion for the area made my experience even more memorable.

The Gem of Jackson
Rancho Alegre is the most special place that I have ever stayed over the years visiting Jackson. The communication with the hosts was supportive from the start to ensure that we had everything we needed before arrival. Rex, was an amazing host and created such a warm welcome to the ranch - sharing the rich history of the property, helping with bags, and making sure our group comfortably settled in. He promptly helped us with any needs throughout the stay and was a fantastic on site host. The Ranch is absolutely stunning and it felt special to stay at a place which deeply respects the richness, history, and tradition of Jackson with vast views, a love for animals, and a charm unmatched capturing the rustic feel of a beautiful homestead. There is something special about staying somewhere that you know upholds strong values, respect, and a love for the home they so generously share with their guests. We are so grateful for such a memorable time in Jackson and highly recommend staying at this beautiful home.

Guys Trip with Phenomenal Service
We had a large group on a guys ski trip. The property is great and the photos on VRBO give a pretty good representation. The kitchen is very well stocked. There are more than enough pots, pans and dishes. It's nice that there are spices and other cooking items left by previous groups. The best part of our stay was the service from Rex, the onsite manager. He went way above and beyond for us. He helped us get a truck out of a snow bank, and acted as an Uber when none were available. It's about a half hour drive for skiing and 15-20 minutes into town. Traffic was really bad for us one night when it took an hour and 15 minutes to return from skiing.

Absolutely stunning from the moment you arrive! Whether it's Rex's warm welcome or the goats saying hello it really sets the tone for the house. It's a very spacious and cool house. We hosted a surprise party here for my partner and Rex was welcoming and helpful throughout that. There's plenty of activities to do in the house or in Jackson as it's right down the road. We will be trying to stay here again if we plan another big group trip!!! Thank you so much for having us!

Perfection!
Rancho Alegre was the PERFECT spot for a family trip to Jackson Hole, Wyoming over Thanksgiving! There were 13 of us in the house, 18 total in town-- from ages 7 months to 75 years old-- to enjoy each other, the mountains, the snow, and the Thanksgiving holiday together as a family. And this was the ideal location to gather. The house is large, comfortable, and full of interesting and eclectic decor. Rex, the property manager, was incredibly attentive, personable, and kind. The rooms were spacious-- and activity in one section/floor of house was not disruptive to another. There were friendly (and cute) farm animals that we all loved-- especially the kids. There were elk roaming through the back yard on multiple occasions (more there than we saw at the Elk Refuge), a clear view of the Tetons, and stars so close at night that it felt as if I could reach out and touch them. Rancho Alegre was ideal!

We rented Rancho Alegre Lodge for our small wedding and it was such a great time! There was plenty of space for the wedding party of 17 and the views were amazing for the ceremony and dinner. The house is very interesting, filled with a lot of antiques. We found ourselves wishing we had more time to explore around the house and hangout on the property. The property managers are very relaxed, pleasant and accommodating! Happy to help out if needed. Overall we had a great stay.

Family Reunion for our parents 80th birthday
We had 22 family members stay for the week to celebrate our parents 80th birthday. The farm animals were such a surprise, we had no idea how much they would add to the specialness of our trip. Not to mention that we had almost 2 dozen fresh eggs every morning to cook! Rex and Connor we’re literally a cross between a private tour guide and entertainment for our family. Any need we had they were responsive down to the minute of a text. They even guided us to their sweet fishing honey holes on the snake river. They set up fire teepees for us at night and any game the kids wanted to play they were ready to make it happen. They even went to the store just to get us a special rope for a tug-of-war. As much as the house had to offer with its panoramic views of the mountains the inside was just as well appointed. You are surrounded by a cozy cabin setting with high-end antiques and space for everybody. We instantly felt at home. As we all said our tearful goodbyes in the kitchen on the last morning, we realized that it was the house that made our trip in part such a special week. Rex and Connor helped us navigate around the tourists and find local places that were off the beaten path and amazing . We created memories that will last forever. I would not hesitate to come back and stay at the ranch again.

Kids Wonderland
This was our second summer at the property. We rent the home and bring different families with us each year. It is truly a magical place for children. Rex and Connor, the two young men that run the farm, are the secret ingredient to all the wonder. Each summer they have waited to welcome us and take the children around to meet all the animals. Think of the home like a mini dude ranch for little kids. Each year there has been a new addition to the farm. The first year the boys had baby chicks they saved as a surprise for the kids on the last day. This year they rescued turkeys which were so tame the kids could sit and pet them for hours and the turkeys practically curled up in their laps. Every morning the kids woke up and Connor and Rex helped them collect the chicken eggs. The kids would run into the house clutching the eggs so proud they were bringing home breakfast for all the grownups. Connor and Rex stay on property to help with anything we needed. They are happy to run out and grab anything you need from bags of ice for ice chests to pizza,. They know the town so well and are great for recommending all the best local places. The farm alone is enough to entertain your party for your entire visit, but it’s also perfectly located to go off and explore all that the surrounding area has to offer. The home is huge, each time we have been a party of twenty with 3 to 4 families attending, and never once has the space felt cramped. There is room for the kids play and the adults to spend time together without it ever feeling like chaos. Everything is well stocked with anything you might need to cook up a meal for all your guests. If there is ever an issue Rex and Connor are there to sort it out within minutes, and they do it happily. The home doesn’t feel like a museum where you have to constantly worry one of the kids will break something of value that you’ll need to then figure out how to replace and apologize profusely for. Kids can just be kids, which is truly the greatest gift of any vacation with family. The views at the property are absolutely stunning. Each night the group sat out and watched the sunset while the kids played with the animals and games in the yard. The first year Connor and Rex orchestrated a mean game of whiffle ball; team parents vs team kids. All the parents felt that was the best day of the trip. In fact, it was the reason we booked again this year. We have always left with beautiful memories for a lifetime.

House Needs a Deep Cleaning & Maintenance Throughout
We rent a house every summer for our family from all over the Country to meet. We book high end VRBOs several years in advance to get the best! The lack of upkeep of this property is not what we have come to expect in a high-end VRBO. Connor & Rex are on property & lovely people. We had daily issues that came up & they were available to discuss whenever we needed. The animals are amazing & we all enjoyed them thoroughly. Upon arrival at R.A.L. we were met by Connor & Rex, & given a tour. Dirty porches, unvacuumed & stained carpets, food crumbs & cooking splatters in the kitchen, dirty towels in the bathrooms, dirty sinks, hair & mildew in showers, stained duvets, bugs in the master bed, filthy windows (which were cleaned 2nd day of stay), dead flies in all of the windows sills & super thick caked on dust everywhere! Debris swept into corners. Half of the windows are not screened so it is impossible to get a cross breeze (no air conditioning). They do have fans for the rooms (fans were filthy). There weren't wash cloths in any of the bathrooms, hand/bath towels were limited (not enough for as many folks as we had staying initially provided). They did get us additional towels upon request. Most of the towels and linens were stained. I spent much of the first day cleaning before our relatives arrived. They called the cleaning crew to come re-clean but they were not available. We wore our flip flops for the entire trip & left the house cleaner than when we arrived. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, gadgets, condiments and spices. Not enough plates & regular drinking glasses for everyone (we used paper plates and had the caterer provide plates for our sit down dinner). Plenty of wine glasses & coffee mugs. Having multiple coffee makers was a plus. The oven/stove needs repair & was unreliable. The fridge was leaking. The ice maker worked for one day. The back up fridge in the garage is very useful for leftovers and beverages. Many of the showers barely worked (Including the master shower). The hot tub has broken plastic plate/filter cap with sharp edges. The deck railing is in need of repair/replacement. If someone fell against it, it would give. The hammock broke and one of our children broke his collar bone in the fall (he should not have been swinging in it). We are just glad it wasn't an adult that was in it when it broke. There are area rugs throughout the house that do not lay flat and were being tripped on constantly.

Needs a bit of TLC inside and out to bring it up to 5 star rating. However, our family of 19 was able to spread out and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding area. A couple of plumbing issues, lack of screens on a few windows( no a/c so unable to open windows) but nothing prevented us from having a great overdue vacation.

I can’t put into words how much fun we had at Rancho Allegre. Frank was AMAZING and made himself available whenever we needed him. We loved the house as it was super spacious, had beautiful mountain views and accommodated several families. My fiancé and I were getting married in Jackson Hole that week, and wanted a place where all of our family could stay together and we could host a welcome BBQ for our wedding guests. We were also able to get some great pre-wedding photos at the ranch and loved getting to pet the farm animals. It was a huge hit with the kids (and even the adults!) it’s also a short distance from Jackson Hole Winery, which was fun for everyone. Also close and an easy drive to town. Owner not responsive to condition of kitchen
We arrived with $500 worth of food to cook Thanksgiving dinner only to find stove and ovens inoperable. Owner told us, after we arrived, he had “ordered parts to fix it”. Not acceptable! Also, we found the dryer inoperable after doing wash. Owner said he had ordered a new one.....too little., to late. We had our two dogs with us which website said was acceptable when I originally booked. Owner called me and was VERY rude and threatened to make us leave. Our dogs were never off leash. We left the property cleaner than we found it in spite of being deceived as to condition of facilities.

Hi Carolyn, Unfortunately I was not able to host your group as I was visiting my family in Florida. The gentleman who was watching over the property called me upon your arrival to inform me of two dogs. I strictly do not accept dogs and it says that clearly on the contract. I love dogs but as you are aware I have free roaming barn animals and dogs have killed many of my ducks and chickens in the past. As of the stove/oven, ... I explained to you that the group before you, a wedding had broke the knobs. There are a total of three ovens in the lodge and I suggested for you group to use the other two. The Dryer in the garage stopped working ironically before your arrival. Both the Dryer and Stove have been fixed. Jackson is a small town and it is extremely difficult to get help in a timely fashion. As per the dogs... I had to have the carpets professionally cleaned for urine stains as well as constant vacuuming for dog hairs . I take pride in my lodge and the reviews I receive. I am sorry that some things were not working. I hope your family enjoyed what Rancho Alegre Lodge truly offers besides the mishaps you experienced. All the best , Frank

Great Change from the Beach
Our family usually vacations at the beach. Decided this year to change it up. The result was fantastic. Eight adults, two teenagers, and one child....they were all fully entertained for the week. Location of Rancho Alegre Lodge is perfect. Minutes from Jackson Hole and Teton National Park. Yellowstone National Park was an easy drive. Rafting, fishing, and horseback riding were all within minutes. And we got to gaze at the milky way....that never happens at the beach. The property is very unique. Very well layed out with plenty of group space, and private space. And the kitchen was awesome. With several good cooks in the family, there was nothing they needed that was not available. We even had one night catered (the night it was my turn to cook) and Frank's recommendation was great. The farm animals provided an added experience that we had not anticipated. Goats, chickens, ducks, pigs, and a horse kept everyone entertained and inquisitive. We did not know goats have some much individual personality. The teenagers even got up early to "slop" the pigs. Oh, and all the eggs we could consume. Frank was a great host. From the first communication to our departure Frank made all efforts to ensure our stay was what we wanted. No requests were denied. Additionally, Frank is a great story teller. Overall, Rancho Alegre Lodge was a great break from the beach. So much so everyone wants to come back to the mountains again next year.

Dream Vacation
Words cannot do justice in capturing just how incredible our experience at Rancho Alegre was over the holiday weekend. My wife and I had been planning this trip for well over a year to celebrate my 40th birthday. We arrived with 15 friends, five kids, and super high expectations given the many moving pieces we had in place for a memorable trip. And without fail, Frank and Rancho Alegre delivered at every turn. To start, the property is perfect - the views (!), the friendly animals, the size, location, attention to detail, decor, games (indoor and outdoor), cleanliness, vibe, you name it. Every room had gorgeous views, soft bedding, interesting artifacts, and private space, perfect for a large group with differing needs. The main rooms were also ideal for games, pool, ping pong, hanging out by the fire, large group dining (indoor and outdoor), photos, etc. The kitchen had everything to meet our cooking needs and the needs of the catering team we hired for the big party. And, truly the best part of it all was Frank himself. I have met a lot of property owners over the years and Frank is by far the most gracious and easy-going host I've had the pleasure of working with. Email communication was prompt, contracts and payments clear, and he was present enough on site to take care of our (many) needs (i.e., wifi, setting up Sonos speakers, finding the bikes, removing trash and recycling, calling in a masseuse on a holiday, helping us with laundry, and even folding my friend's clothes!). At the same time, he allowed us to do our thing and was not pressed about kids running around wild on the property, late night sing-along's, an accidental broken chair, texting him 24-7, etc. At every step he was friendly, easy to talk with, and happy to help us have the best time possible. And we did. Every single guest present wants to return ASAP. In fact, we would like to make this an annual trip! It was truly the best group vacation I have ever had. I never write reviews, but this one deserves it. Please be good to Frank and his family, the animals, and the property because we want everyone to have the chance to experience this place to its fullest, just as we did. Thank you, Frank and team, this is a trip I will never forget.

Great spot for family reunion
We hosted a week long family reunion at the Rancho Alegre Lodge and everyone had a fabulous time. The owner is easy to work with and very accommodating. We did his breakfast option most days and it was great. The house is amazing and has so many sitting areas and living rooms making conversations easy.. The 8 bedrooms was perfect for our families. The farm animals are very entertaining as well.

Paul family reunion
Best reunion ever for our ten family members! Great host! Incredible lodge with 8 bedrooms (sleeps up to 24 in beds!), library bar, incredible kitchen (breakfast buffet that changed each morning), den and family room with pool table and large dining room. Tetons views from large deck. The best fun was interacting with the goats, pigs, ducks and chickens! Ask Frank to take you on an evening goat walk. We will go back!
