  • The Stars Align at this lovely — pet-friendly — North Georgia vacation rental cottage with lots of charm, wooded surroundings, comfortable interiors, relaxing and entertaining amenities, and nice outdoor spaces. Start your days sipping coffee on the screened-in deck, where you'll have tables, cushioned seats, a flatscreen TV, and a hammock for unwinding. The fully equipped kitchen boasts stainless appliances, and there is a grill on the open deck! And with a location in Big Canoe, you'll have access to a wide range of community amenities!

    At the end of the day, climb into the bubbling outdoor hot tub to relax. Flip on the big screen TV in the living room, choose from 512 retro arcade games on the cocktail unit, set up board games provided in the home, enjoy meals at the dining tables around the home, and retreat to the 3 cozy bedrooms when you need some time on your own.

    The home also has 2.5 bathrooms, 2,200 square feet of space, parking for 5 vehicles, Wi-Fi, nearby fishing, a washer and dryer, and a nice mix of bedding – including 1 king-size bed, 1 queen-size bed, 2 twin-size beds, and 1 sleeper sofa. A Little Slice of Heaven

We loved Stars Align Cottage! Beautiful setting and so relaxing...our dog Scarlet loved the wild turkeys and deer. If you want a place to just kick back and recharge, this is it! Truly a cozy and comfy cottage.

Wonderful Weekend Visit!

This house was the perfect place for a weekend visit to the mountains! Beautiful views, amazing screen porch, well appointed kitchen, plenty of room for a family, and ….the hot tub! Check in was easy, and we had a great time at Big Canoe! We’ll be back!

Perfect Getaway

We've been to Big Canoe multiple times and have never stayed at the same place twice. Not anymore. This will be our "go to" from now on! The house is perfectly appointed with almost everything you could ever need for a getaway. We loved the hot tub and the games. A special thanks to the owners for renting out this place!5 out of 5 stars!3 out of 5 stars for the communication with VRBO.

The house was exactly as pictured. Very beautiful and cozy. The owner was extremely quick to respond to any questions or problems we had and was nothing but accommodating. Was the perfect New Years getaway for our family and friends.

Beautiful cabin in woods

Beautiful place and well appointed. Make sure you hit the grocery store and have everything you need because it’s a very windy road into the area so not easy to run out for something forgotten. That being said it’s very quiet and peaceful as well.

Awesome place!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Stars Align Cottage! We particularly enjoyed the beautiful porch. As well as the hot tub! The cottage was comfortable, clean and well stocked. I loved that there were plenty of towels as well. The main floor was roomy and had comfy furniture and plenty of seating for family! The decor was nice too! We will definitely be back!

Weekend at Stars Align in Big Canoe

The home is beautiful and well maintained. The pantry contained a few essentials that we very much appreciated as we had forgotten to bring a couple of things. The screened in back porch is lovely and relaxing in the hot tub was the perfect end to our busy days while there. I would definitely love to return soon!

Such a comfortable cottage

We spent a month here and really can’t say enough good things. The house is beautiful and feels cozy…like a real home instead of a sterile rental. It also has a very well equipped kitchen if you like to cook. We really enjoyed relaxing on the screened in deck and using the hot tub. This house is perfect for family gatherings. There’s plenty of room for everyone but still has some separation to get away. We very much enjoyed our time here and hope to come back again one day!

Stars Align Cottage

We loved our stay. Cottage was perfect. We loved the hammock, how functional the space was and the layout of the house. It was perfect for my family. My kids loved the hammock and the TV in the screened in patio. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. It was just perfect. This has to be our favorite cabin at Big Canoe. We have stayed many times at different cabins but we just loved everything about this one. We also loved how private it was. Would stay here again.

Booked this property last minute. Having lived in BC for 7 years I know it well. I no longer live there but come back often. This place is my favorite yet. Plenty of space, Great cooking with a gas stove and a screened porch in the trees. Well appointed quite comfortable. I will definitely be booking again soon.

Quiet mountain retreat

Wonderful property! The kitchen was well stocked with essentials, there’s plenty to do (board games, movies, the hot tub!), lots of towels. The furnishings are nice and the tv’s are new / smart tvs. Outside, you can see deer and birds! You are nestled in the forest.

Perfect Getaway for a "Reset"

This stay was absolutely wonderful!!! an abundance of options for comfort throughout the entire home. Stocked with all the utensils you could need for cooking every day and I love to cook!!! They even provided some beginner cleaning products so that you don't have to go into town every time you need something. I took this little mini trip with a friend and it felt like a romantic get away with room to spare. Will DEFINITELY be booking this cottage again in the near future for an entire week at least.

We've visited Big Canoe many times and stayed in several different homes. This is the 2nd time we've stayed at Stars Align. We love this place! The management company, on the other hand, we do NOT love. 6 hours before our arrival time, I received a text saying I hadn't signed the key code document. Well, that would be because it was never sent! I logged on to VRBO 5 hours before arrival and there was nothing for me to sign, so I thought the text was an error.Upon arrival at the gate of Big Canoe, they did not have my name on the list, even though I booked the reservation and replied twice to the message providing the list of names.Then, I couldn't get in to the house, because I hadn't signed the document that was never sent to me or that was available on the website for me to sign. After waiting for 30 minutes on hold and another 25 minutes for a call back, I figured it out.Then, I spent 30 minutes trying to get logged in to the wifi, only to find that the information that was provided to me was completely incorrect and no one had bothered to update it!The company allowed us a late check-out as compensation, which was very nice.We'd like to stay here again, but am very hesitant to do so if the same management company is involved.

Beautiful Place to stay!

This was our first time to stay at Big Canoe. It is a really beautiful place. This home is vey beautiful and comfortable. It felt like being in a tree house. We saw turkeys and deer on the property and the hot tub was such a nice treat. The Beach Club was a little pricey. It was 20$ a person, and one day of comp wrist bands would have been nice. Also, communication was not the best. It was like dealing with a third party and having to wait a long time for a response. I got an email the day of in ALL CAPS (kinda seems like yelling) telling me to give them the full names and ages of all guests, I didn't find that very welcoming. Overall, I would recommend this place, It is very comfortable and beautiful. We appreciated the extra items in the kitchen- spices, foil, ect., as we cooked in most of the time.

Amazing property

We booked this property on a whim to visit GA for a quick get away and it was absolutely amazing. The photos online do not so this home justice AT AL!!!! It’s gorgeous, very spacious, clean, warm and inviting. I can’t go on enough about how perfect this home is, the kids loved exploring the woods around us while the adults enjoyed winding down in the hot tub. Nothing was spared when setting this property up with all the amenities and accessories you didn’t even know you wanted in a rental home. The owners have done such a great job at creating a beautiful welcoming home. We can’t wait to come back

Perfect Big Canoe Getaway

This house was spotless and well supplied for all your cooking needs... more so than any other house we have rented on VRBO. The setting is peaceful and very relaxing. The owners were great to work with and incredibly prompt in answering our questions and requests. We will be staying here again!

Great family getaway

Our family had a great time here. The cabin is an hour or less away from great activities like Helen, waterfalls…and of course the lake, trails and playground in the community. The best was spending time in the hot tub in a cold, rainy day!

My experience was somewhat unusual...the place definitely was secluded...first few days were rainy and foggy...roads difficult to navigate...EMT and fire station staff were great...experienced a heart attack while on "vacation"...you'll have to ask the rest of the family how they enjoyed their stay :}
