The Space:

High On A Mountain by Tiny Away sits in the countryside of Jeeralang, only 2 hours from Melbourne, Victoria. Our tiny house is perched atop the western edge of the main residence where you can gaze out over expansive paddocks and majestic mountain peaks, embracing a sense of peaceful seclusion.



Here, H&M Farming blends rustic charm with genuine hospitality, offering a perfect retreat that encourages you to slow down, breathe deeply, and connect with the timeless allure of mountain life.



Even with its peaceful surroundings, we're just 21 minutes from Morwell, known for its Latrobe Valley coal fields, and only 10 minutes from Churchill, where you’ll find Woolworths, Pizza HQ, and the Mid Valley Shopping Centre.



A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and gas-heated shower—making it a perfect choice among relaxing holiday homes.



Guest Access:

Guests will have access to the tiny home and its surroundings, except for the equipment sheds, dairy, calving pens, cattle yards, and residences, which are signposted.



Advisory:



- Check and notify with the host to confirm if firewood is available. Otherwise, you're welcome to bring your own.

- Please be advised that there will be some farm-related noises (such as gunfire used as part of livestock protection) during your stay with us.

- Guests can experience farm life by helping Marcus and his son Harrison with daily duties. One of the most enjoyable parts is feeding the animals, made special by Harrison’s pride and enthusiasm.

High On A Mountain by Tiny Away is a cosy tiny house located just two hours from Melbourne in the serene town of Jeeralang, Gippsland. Our holiday home is surrounded by rolling hills, green pastures, and picturesque farmland, it offers a peaceful countryside escape. The scenic drive passes through charming towns like Bunyip, Drouin, Warragul, and Trafalgar, with Morwell just 21 minutes away and Churchill only 10 minutes down the road.



Nature lovers can explore Morwell National Park’s forest trails and enjoy birdwatching at Firmins Lane Wetlands. Discover local favourites like Glendonald Pizza and Pizza HQ Churchill, pick up essentials at Woolworths Churchill, or visit Mid Valley Shopping Centre in Morwell for more dining and shopping options.



Getting Around:

By car:



- 2 hrs from Melbourne

- 21 mins from the town, Morwell

- 10 mins from the town, Churchill



All are accessible by 2wd and 4wd.



By public transport: To travel from Melbourne, VIC to Jeeralang, VIC by train or bus, follow these steps:



By Train:



- Take the V/Line Train: Board a V/Line train from Melbourne’s Southern Cross Station heading towards Traralgon or Bairnsdale.

- Disembark at Morwell: Get off at Morwell Station.

- Travel from Morwell to Jeeralang: From Morwell, you would need to arrange a taxi or local transport to Jeeralang, as there are no direct train services to Jeeralang itself.



By Bus:



- Take a V/Line Bus: Catch a V/Line bus from Melbourne’s Southern Cross Station to Morwell.

- Transfer to Local Transport: From Morwell, you would need to arrange for a taxi service to Jeeralang.



As an added note, remember to check the V/Line website or local travel services for the latest schedules and connections. Jeeralang is a small rural area, so arranging a taxi or rideshare in advance could be necessary.



Other Things to Note:

- Gas BBQ grill is available

- Mobile phone reception has a good signal

- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed

- No smoking allowed inside the tiny home, except outdoors

- No open fires and BBQ grills allowed during a total fire ban

- Please advise that we have working dogs on the property. Yes, you may pat them with care

- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge



For those interested in hunting and exploring walking trails:



- Hunting for foxes and deer is permitted

- Anyone hunting must hold all current licenses

- The property features an outdoor shooting range

- Enjoy a river flowing through the property and explore the walking trails

- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present

- To maintain the cleanliness and functionality of our cassette toilet a minimum additional cleaning fee is applied for stays of 5 nights or more. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a hygienic experience during your stay.
