Thank you for your comment and recommendation. as an old building, its rooms are not similar and not identical. we are trying to make each room as unique as possible and we been remodeling every time we get permissions to do so. our rooms downstairs are very authentic and have 150 years old tiles that need special procedures and approvals. we assure you that we are trying our best to move forward with this matter. Regarding breakfast and as we have over 40 different types of items on the buffet, please help us via private mail if you wish to improve this service as we think it is one of the most important things to do in a hotel. thank you again for your recommendations and we look forward to seeing you again

We are sorry to hear your complaint especially after you have already left. We would have been more than happy to remedy any issue you may have faced. A great number of our decorations are antique pieces. We clean them regularly but they will not look shiny. Our neighborhood has the following institutions that make it very special1. the American consulate which has become the America House 2. The Dominican monastery of St Etienne which commands more than half of the street3. The Garden Tomb, a beautiful garden that receives about half a million people every year4. The Schmidt's Girls School, a historic building by William the second the German Kaisar5. The Sisters of St Francis of Assisi6. A number of Shops 7. The Damascus Gate.Perhaps you didnt have the chance to realize the importance of our neighborhood which has the most important artery that leads into and out of the Old City of Jerusalem. On another occasion, we will be more than happy to guide you to these places and more

Our hotel building was built in 1891. When it was converted into a hotel in 1949, it only had one bathroom on each floor. Today we have a bathroom in each room and we managed to keep the hand carved beds whether they are single (90x190) cm or queen (140x190) or king (160x190). We are sad you didnt get the bed size of your preference, it might have been the only room left when you made the reservation. However, we see a great deal of value in experiencing a Jerusalem style accommodation that reflects the character of the city while in the city. We look forward to having you with us again and to have the opportunity to serve you with more insight. Our breakfast is always served to your satisfaction. There are staff ready to prepare a special breakfast for you if it needs be. True, if you are the last person for breakfast, the items become a bit sparse, but the staff doesnt and they are instructed to provide you with what you like. You only need to feel at home.
