Kona Makai is een prachtig complex aan de oceaan met prachtig onderhouden tuinen direct aan de oceaan met dolfijnen en walvissen kijken. Zeer rustig complex met een eigen tennisbaan, gratis parkeren, gratis WiFi. Groot zwembad aan de oceaan met spa, tafeltennis, volledig uitgeruste fitnessruimte en BBQ. Op de Iron Man Triathalon pad. Begane grond unit voor gemakkelijke toegang - verhoogde Lanai voor uitzicht. Bldg 5 is uit de buurt van het zwembad en het lawaai van de weg, Noord / Zuid gericht voor donkere koelere ochtend slaapkamer, indirect zonlicht in de woonkamer. Rustige betonnen gebouwen overbrengen geen geluid van andere eenheden. Geweldige locatie, gemakkelijke toegang en dicht bij de stad en de stranden.
2018 Bijgewerkt, nieuwe full size vaatwasser, nieuwe wasmachine droger, nieuwe koelkast, nieuwe magnetron, smart HDTV, AC-eenheden in de woonkamer en slaapkamer. Nieuwe ninja-smoothie- en -drankmaker en keukenmachine. Goed gevuld met bijgevulde meubels, handdoeken, beddengoed, keukengerei, ijskist, snorkels, strandartikelen.

Tegelvloeren, fans en AC houden het cool. Haardroger, strijkijzer en strijkplank zijn aanwezig.
Twee veranda, een met uitzicht op de oceaan laten passaatwind om thru-koeler, nice buiten zitten stromen.

Mooie snorkelen riffen direct bij het pand met toegang (behalve in hoge golven). Kijk dolfijnen, zonsondergangen en walvissen van het huis.

Zeer handig ~ 1 mijl lopen of 2 minuten rijden naar de stad en bekende restaurants zoals Bubba Gumps. Op de bus / trolley route. Vijf minuten van het beroemde strand snorkelen met zeewering, badmeester en zeeschildpadden. Geniet van het winkelen in de stad en de open markt.

Volcano National Park is een geweldig dagje uit. Pu'uhonua o Hōnaunau National Park ligt op slechts 30 minuten en de beste snorkelen bij 2 stap een korte wandeling buiten het park.

Home Away From Home

This comfortable, conveniently located condo is your ideal place to stay when in Kona. It had everything you needed to make your own meals if you wished. It’s really close to Kona if you wanted to go out. The pool was a perfect size with lots of lounge chairs. The unit had plenty of air flow to keep cool and a brand new A/C unit was replaced in the bedroom. We really appreciated the quick action from owner Janet to get that done as soon as we alerted her that it wasn't working. Great communication for checking in and to address any concerns we had. We will definitely be returning!

Nice place right on the ocean

The condo is in a great location for exploring both north and south. Clean, fully stocked kitchen, nice pool area with bbq grills by the ocean. We were able to watch whales and dolphins from the lawn chairs. There was a bunch of beach gear, but wouldn’t count on the snorkeling equipment (guests had obviously not taken care of it). There were a bunch of tennis rackets and balls too. The complex is very quiet. We had a great stay!

The complex is in great location. The pool area has great view for sunset. The ocean view is partial from the balcony. You can't see it from inside. Unit has beach stuff for you to use! I would have liked tv in bedroom bc I am one of those who falls aleep to tv..but no complaints.

Anniversary Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at the Kona Makai unit. The property is very nicely maintained, and full of beautiful lush gardens. It backs onto the shore & listening to the waves was very relaxing. The unit was very clean and very well stocked. You have everything you need there to prepare your own meals including lawn chairs, The lanai is shaded & we enjoyed sitting out there having our breakfast most mornings. The location is good & is only about 1.5 miles from the center of Kona. It was an ideal location for exploring the Big Island.We would certainly recommend this vacation rental

Excellent Place for a Getaway

This is my 4th trip to Kona Makai, and the 4th different condo I’ve stayed in. Each has been clean, well cared for, and had the view as advertised. The grounds at magnificent, with a fabulous tropical garden. The pool is delightful, and the patio area is excellent. Lounge chairs for relaxing, tables and chairs for dining or socializing, and 5 grills for use by guests!

Beautiful Sunsets!

Beautiful sunsets! Lush gardens. Lot's to do nearby but lovely to just sit by the ocean and watch the water. Nice pool area! I forgot something after we left. I reached out to our contact and she was quick to get back to me. They retrieved my item and were very helpful in getting it back to me. Much appreciated for the extra effort on their parts! The most perfect Kona vacation base!

We are so lucky to have been able to book this cute yet spacious apartment space on the Kona side. Check in was a breeze (tons of parking available) and the owner was fast at replying to any questions that I had. From the theme of the decor to the endless supply of utensils and water sport/beach supplies, we could tell that a lot of love and effort has been put into the place. Super close to the downtown Kona area. The sunset views from the shared space near the water were a cherry on top. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

Property met expectations as described The remodeling was nice and the room was very clean. Washer and dryer a plus Most cooking appliances we needed were available, maybe add a rice cooker. The complex is nice, we took advantage of the pool and bbq grill and watching the view of the sunset was great.

Great condo to spend your days. Everything you need is supplied and more. Guess cleaning workers leave usable supplies, so check fridge, freezer, and cabinets before shopping. Lots of coffee was available. Also useful beach and snorkeling supplies, (you will want to rent beach chairs). Two air conditioning units, ceiling fans, comfortable bed, nice Lanai on interior side of complex. Very nice pool, jacuzzi, and BBQ's. No ocean entry at complex, and everything other than walkers in exercise room is severely rusted. Manager/owner very nice and helpful.
