  • Keauhou Palena ligt naast de Kona Country Club en op loopafstand van de baai van Keauhou. Het heeft een eigen zwembad en trainingsruimte. Winkelcentrum Keauhou met een KTA-supermarkt, Regal-bioscoop en een verscheidenheid aan restaurants en winkels ligt op minder dan 1,5 km afstand.

    Deze 2/2 eenheid slaapt 6. Het is onlangs gerenoveerd met nieuwe vloeren en nieuwe apparaten. Met een gloednieuw split AC-systeem is het een van de weinige airconditionings in dit complex. Het beschikt over een moderne keuken met een groot overdekt eetgedeelte. De oversized Lanai kijkt uit op de golfbaan. Het is perfect voor buiten grillen en dineren.

This was such a wonderful place to stay! Centrally located, comfortable, well stocked, could not have been more perfect. Staid here with my two elementary school age children and it was the perfect place for kids. The deck outside has a view of the golf course and a beautiful flowering tree. Sitting out there with the kids, playing dominoes and watching birds and geckos will be some of my favorite memories. As will playing with them in the small but not over crowded pool.Snorkel gear was provided (thankfully it fit us) and it is close to a good snorkel spot. But also a good jumping off point for so many other things! A 30 minute or less drive from most of the highlights of the Kona area, and dedicated free parking; it was so convenient. I was sad to leave and if I ever come back here I will 100% try to get this place again.

Overall the host was very welcoming and accommodating. All amenities were in working order and contributed to a good stay. One thing short of perfect was towels smelled sour and of course nature and the tiny ant invasion. We washed towels with vinegar rectifying the sour towels but had no Diatomaceous Earth for the tiny ants… warm, cozy, and a good stay!

Well appointed. Comfy beds. Keep the kitchen clean to keep teeny bugs away. Beach supplies. Lanai was wonderful. Easy entry. Host was responsive. Enjoy the Hawaiian decor. Spacious and great AC. Nice enough pool - but could use a cleaning. Really everything you could ask for!

A quiet and convenient location on Kona coast. Close to shopping plaza and many attractions. The unit is clean and well-stocked. Host was responsive to our questions and maintenance request. A/C was very nice to have in summer. A great place to stay when touring the big island with family.

The condo was great for our family. We had 2 adults and 2 kids. The kids loved their beds, the stuffies were a huge hit. There were sand toys, snorkeling gear, beach towels, an umbrella and other things available for use which was great. It was very clean and the hosts were great to work with. They checked in frequently and answered pretty quickly to any questions. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is the fact that the pool closes at sunset and we felt the rules were pretty strict and didn’t want to take our kids in case we were disruptive. But other than that it was a nice, comfy place to stay!

Great place to stay on the Big Island

The property was clean, spacious, in a great location to Kona and amenities and very well furnished Our unit would be perfect for a family of 3/4. The lanai is large and we enjoyed breakfast outside every morning with a beautiful view. Overall very pleased with our choice and a special mention to Meredith and Scott for their assistance during our stay.

The property was exactly as described! The area was quiet and clean and within walking distance of grocery and food, and only a short drive from the shops and restaurants on Ali’i. The only thing you have to be mindful of is tiny tiny ants that hang out in the sink…but they dissappear if you keep the sinks clean, and there are plenty of cleaning supplies if they bother you; they did not bother us. We did not see any other bugs inside, and the place was in great shape. We had fantastic communication with the owner, and had no problems with our stay what so ever. Would definitely stay here again!

Great central Kona condo

My family including 2 kids, 3 adults used this condo as a home base in Kona. The decor may be a bit dated, but everything was functional and just what we needed. We appreciated the beach supplies including boogie boards, chair, towels, etc. We especially enjoyed having AC as it was quite hot during our stay

This place was perfect for us. Group of 5 (2 older teens, 3 adults). Beautiful location, easy to find, quiet, parking was great. Everything we needed was included. Management and maintenance were fantastic to deal with. There was beach towels and gear available which was super convenient. Highly recommend this place!

One of the celling fans didn't work, but they were quick to respond. I did find several large water bugs dead in the floor when I arrived, so I did have to clean it before I stayed in it. But the overall experience was good.

Location

We have rented this condo 3 times for 3 months because of location. Perfect for us as we paddle for a canoe club that we can walk to. Condo itself? The complex itself has a great manager, Jay, and grounds are meticulously maintained. The condo - inferior to others in complex. (We have rented in 3 others). However, Not renting again. Each year fees go up and upkeep of this unit goes down. We are told by owner what a “deal” we are getting. It is very tired. One example: Lanai furniture has never changed-plastic fold up table, sun bleached, discolored plastic chairs. Look around at other lanais in same complex. Amenities- scarce. Fry pans so scratched- unsanitary for use. Coffee pot bottom burned. Towels & sheets threadbare, one thin blanket, garbage disposal kept breaking-we reset each time.When we asked items were supplied. The question being? Why did we have to keep asking. If you have reasonable cleaning standards, they will not be met here. Incidentally, checked area cleaning fees—-highest in area. We have rented another, comparable, but very updated condo for less money. Regardless of what is said, they are available. If staying for a short stay/ doable. Longer? I’d look elsewhere.

Great place, but downstairs neighbor is a jerk

We had a bit of trouble finding the rental unit when we arrived late at night. But once we found it, the keypad worked like a charm and the unit was clean and as described. The condo location is nice and convenient. The lanai looks out onto the golf course next door and we used the electric grill to prepare dinner a couple of evenings. We enjoyed the pool and morning walks to the nearby dock. The condo also had snorkels, fins, boogie board, beach chair, cooler, an umbrella that we borrowed for our trips to nearby beaches (King Kam beach was our family's favorite). We have nothing bad to say about the unit itself, but the downstairs neighbor was a bit of a nightmare. He screamed at us the first morning as we were leaving for breakfast, accusing us of being too loud and stomping on the floors the night before. When he thought we were making too much noise, he banged on his ceiling to express his displeasure. Most nights, when we returned from our daily activities, he would leer at us from behind the screen door. He even yelled at my son for playing with his plants. Admittedly, my kids can get a bit noisy and rambunctious at times. They did get a bit excited that first night when checking out our new place. But this jerk had seemingly zero tolerance for even a little bit of noise. It felt like we were walking on eggshells all week, and the dynamic definitely made our trip less enjoyable. Overall, it was a good place, but families should be warned about the jerk downstairs.

No Hot Water

Got message while flying that the water heater was broken and could not be fixed for 3 days. After the 3 days, no one called or showed up. WE called and were told it would be another 2 days until it could be fixed We had to go to another unit to shower We canceled and went to an Air BNB where we could shower in our unit. Very unfortunate because the unit was nice

Perfect location for us. The bay and our paddle club are a 5 minute walk.

Private, yet very accessible for all the opportunities around you We are very physically active all day, so it is nice to arrive home and enjoy the peace and quiet afforded here.

A wonderful and affordable rental.

This was a great rental in Kona for a family of 4...the air conditioning was wonderfully quiet. This condo was clean neat, an adequately stocked. The only issue was the two loads of laundry required was feasible for an early flight- only one wash was completed of the sheets.

The unit was a perfect size for a family of 4. The balcony overlooking the golf course was huge and very pleasant for eating outside at the table. It was further from the downtown area than we thought. We had to drive everywhere we went.

Definitely Best Value as Advertised

Condo had everything needed for a family of four. Washer dryer was great, kitchen well stocked, outdoor grill worked great, nice spacious patio, a/c worked as promised. Some of the snorkeling gear and other beach gear needs replacing but we brought some of our own snorkel gear and found enough at the condo to add to it. Love Kona! Such a relaxing place for a family vacation!
