Welcome to "Aloha Kai" -- the newest-renovated condo in Lae Nani. Here, modern design meets jaw-dropping, unobstructed ocean views. Inside: AC; a fully-equipped kitchen; stone countertops; all-new, comfortable bedding and furniture; and a spa-like standing shower await. Outside: the crashing waves of Wailua Bay are so close you can smell them (30-second walk to the beach). -WHY IT'S SPECIAL-
Look no further for beachfront bliss than Lae Nani Unit #323, Aloha Kai. Our labor-of-love full unit remodel was completed in June 2024. Steps from a secluded beach, sunrise views, heated saltwater pool & tennis courts. Shops and restaurants walkable; Wailua River kayak and Sleeping Giant trailhead just a 5 min drive.
Wailua/Kapa'a, where our unit is located, is centrally located, ideal for exploring both the North and South shores.

-THE PROPERTY-
The well-maintained Lae Nani complex is known for its exquisite landscaping, ‘Great Lawn’ along the beachfront, and quiet beach (with a calmer, protected ‘Keiki Cove’ for kids) a literal stone’s throw from the unit. The recently-redone heated saltwater pool and BBQ area are guest favorites. Breathtaking sunrise views and open-to-the-public morning yoga classes can be found just a 2-minute walk away, outside the Lava Lava Beach Club (property next door).

The unit has all you need for home cooking -- from full cookware, to an Instapot and Air Fryer. But walkable dining options are plentiful:
*LAVA LAVA BEACH CLUB for breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails with your feet in the sand.
*COCONUT MARKETPLACE for groceries, shops, live music, and the famous ‘Chicken in a Barrel BBQ.’ Sushi, Italian, Shaved Ice, bike rental and more are all available in the same complex.

Our location in Wailua, on the east side of Kauai, offers ultimate convenience. Being equidistant from the North (Hanalei) and South (Poipu) shores makes our unit the perfect home base for those keen to explore the island. The trailhead to the Sleeping Giant hike is just a 5-minute drive down the road, as is the entrance to our coastal bike/pedestrian path Ka Ala Hele Makalae, which meanders along the coastline for beautiful ocean side exercise. And don’t forget kayaking Wailua River, snorkeling at Lyngate Park (5 minutes south), or stocking up on provisions at Safeway or Long’s (all within 1 mile of the unit).

The tennis court was just resurfaced in 2020 and has pickleball lines as well.

GEAR: We provide plenty of beach gear for your use, including: beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, toys and cooler bag. Snorkel and bike rental shops are just down the street for any additional gear you need!

ACCESSIBILITY: 2nd floor unit (about 20 stairs) – no elevator.

A NOTE ON TAXES: We are fully licensed and pay all state and county taxes, which show up in your final total before booking as the 'Tax' line item. As of 2024: State General Excise Tax (GET): 4.5%, State Transient Accommodations Tax (TAT): 6.25%, and Kauai County Transient Accommodations Tax: 9.35%. Your stay ensures that our beaches, hiking trails, and roads receive the funding needed to maintain our beautiful ‘Garden Island’.

We had an incredible stay! The location was absolutely unbeatable—close to everything I wanted to explore, with stunning views and easy access to all sides of the island. The condo itself was beautiful, clean, and very well-equipped, making it feel like a true home away from home. The pictures are exactly what you get! What really made the experience exceptional was the host’s attentiveness and hospitality. They were responsive, thoughtful, and went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay.I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-amazing experience!

The property was very pleasant with well maintained grounds. Close walk to local ABC style store and some small shops. There was a short drive to full supermarket and other small shops. Local restaurants within walking and driving distance. I was there with two other families from different countries in different apartments. The set up was great for our get togethers. The only very minor negative is the apartment being on the first floor. I was definitely aware of this however being a senior this made it a bit difficult for me personally. This remark is only if a senior person is considering the rental.

We found this condo a great location for our stay in Kauai. We loved the green grass view in the foreground with the ocean in the background. The bed was comfortable, the bath towels were soft and we found the interior fit our needs perfectly. We appreciated the beach chairs and towels. We would love to plan a return stay one day.

Lae Nani condo was a beautiful place to stay in Kauai. Very close to everything, restaurants, shops, etc. The place itself was great. It has anything you need if you want to cook a meal and you can eat it on the patio overlooking the ocean. The view was amazing. The grounds were beautifully kept. The pool is nice and big and well maintained. The bed is so comfortable and the sheets were so soft. This place is well equipped with everything you need. I cant say enough great things. 5 stars all the way.

Very comfortable. The views were simply outstanding. One more beach chair could be a benefit. Otherwise, the location and especially, the security around the property was unexpected and was extremely valued. In addition, maintenance around the property while maintaining exceptional landscape was noticeable.

Terrible sound from the gutter drainage kept us awake for hours and there were piles of lint on the sofa and carpet , leftover and tomato lettuce in the fridge from previous guest. I liked that the unit was modern and styled well.

We just returned from Kauai and our perfect stay at Lae Nani. The description, pictures, location, and amenities all delivered as stated. We were centrally located and took advantage of the bike path, surrounding restaurants, property amenities, sunrises, and easy access to the rest of the island. We would love to stay here again and appreciate our host Jon, answering any and all of our questions.

Jon & Sabrina were fantastic hosts that went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The rental had EVERYTHING we needed, from a well equipped kitchen, beach towels, ice chest, and boogie boards for our boys. You just can't beat the centralized location between the north and south shores, the beautiful landscaping and scenery for morning coffee, and the walkable market and restaurants . Napali Brewing Company's live music and good eats, as well as Lotus Ramen were both hits for our family! We would definitely stay here again!

Our 2 weeks at Lae Nani paradise was enhanced by staying in this beautiful condominium! The location and view are amazing but having such a well equipped and beautifully decorated condominium to reside in was the icing on the cake! We will plan to return!

We took a shot on this new listing because we had been to Lae Nani before, and we are very happy we did. The view from Jon’s place alone is enough to make me want to stay in this unit again. We loved taking in the ocean and lawn over coffee in the morning. We were also one of the first to stay in this newly renovated unit and everything inside was great and exactly as described. Very tastefully furnished, brand new bathrooms, air-conditioned---a welcome relief from a lot of the older, more tired stuff we’ve seen on the island. Great kitchen with bar seating and very comfortable bed. The shower was one of the better one’s we’ve used on any vacation. And the Lae Nani grounds are just the best, which we knew. Jon was a very good host. He made sure we had everything we needed and was easy to communicate with. Would return to Jon’s place again without hesitation!
