The Space:

Adventure awaits with bicycle rentals right next door and an array of water activities like canoeing, kayaking, and surfing all within a quick 5-minute drive!  Kapaa is also located on the East side of the island, meaning you are only about a half an hour to both the North and South shores.



Sleeping Arrangements: The first bedroom has a King size bed and the second bedroom has a King size bed. The is also a Queen pull out sleeper sofa in main living space.



Living Space: The open concept living area is designed with relaxation in mind. Unwind on the plush sofa, watch your favorite shows on the flat-screen TV, or step out onto the private lanai to soak in the beautiful resort gardens.  The condo also features air conditioning (split AC system in living room), and high-speed Wi-Fi.  The condo has two baths.  The unit is not designed for accessibility, and it features a traditional step-in tub.



Kitchen: The fully equipped kitchen includes modern appliances, cookware, and utensils, allowing you to prepare your own meals. Enjoy your culinary creations at the dining table or on the lanai for an al fresco dining experience.



Amenities:  Pono Kai offers a full range of amenities and activities for your family to enjoy.  Play some tennis or pickleball, shoot some hoops, or check out the exercise room. Enjoy shuffleboard, horseshoes, a putting green, and a croquet court, plus board games and puzzles.  Don’t forget to take a dip in the swimming pool or unwind in the hot tub! The resort also provides BBQ grills throughout the property and coin operated laundry facilities for your convenience.

The Neighborhood:

This condo is located at the Pono Kai Resort in the historic town of Kapaa, Kauai. Kapaa has a small town feel and the resort is within walking distance of restaurants, boutiques, shopping and grocery stores. And if you’re there on the first Saturday of the month, Kapaa features live music, local crafts and food. You can rent bicycles right next door to the Pono Kai and located within 5 minutes from all water activities; canoeing, kayaking, surfing, etc...



Getting Around:

Kapaʻa is centrally located on the east side of Kauaʻi, making it a convenient home base for exploring the island. While there are shops, restaurants, and beaches within walking or biking distance, we highly recommend renting a car to fully experience everything Kauaʻi has to offer.



The resort is about a 15-minute drive from Līhuʻe Airport, and easy access to Kuhio Highway allows you to explore both the North Shore (Princeville, Hanalei) and South Shore (Poʻipū) with ease. For a more local experience, the Ke Ala Hele Makalae coastal bike path runs right along the ocean and is perfect for walking, jogging, or biking.



Ride-sharing services and taxis are available but can be limited, especially in the evenings. If you prefer not to drive, there is also a local bus system, though routes and schedules may be less frequent.



Interaction with Guests:

A phone is provided in each room with the direct extensions to on-site staff. Please use the phone in your room if you have any questions or issues with the condo. Messaging through Airbnb will go to our corporate office located in Florida. That is a 5-6 hour time difference, so utilizing the on site staff is highly recommended. They are they to serve you.
