"We had an amazing stay at Avista Grande. Upon arrival we were welcomed with a very nice and calm check-in. The hotel has a very good location between Karon en Kata. Both locations are within walkable distance, the beach is just down from the hotel. We had room 2410, which is facing the mountains and you have the morning sun. This means that in the afternoon and evening you can actually sit outside on the very nice balcony and not get burned away in the sun. Great beds, a bit too firm for our liking, but this was quickly fixed by requesting a matress topping. The hotel also provides a pillow menu if you require a specific type of pillow. The housekeeping and all the other staff are extremely helpful and very friendly. We want name Matt specifically for all his wonderful tips for places to visit and to do. He and his team really made us feel very welcome and made our stay a really fantastic vacation! The hotel has a very nice and big pool area and provides very nice big fluffy pool towels. There are sufficient beds around the pool area, they also have a good system in place where people cannot claim a bed for the full day by throwing a towel on it (a personal pet peeve of mine). In the pool is a very good bar. Also on the premises are 2 restaurants and a rooftop bar. We have eaten at Portosino, They have very nice food, good ambience and great service. The rooftop bar provides a great view of the sunset! "
