'A lovely light and airy room with a wonderful view. Comfortable bed and plenty of clean towels. Staff were most welcoming and very helpful. Wonderful selection of goodies for breakfast. Fresh fruit every morning alongside a cooked breakfast and timings for breakfast most accommodating.'

'Bloody Marvellous From the lovely warm welcome when we arrived to the fantastic breakfast just before we left everything was perfect. The room was lovely but what really made the difference was the wonderful team. The chefs should be made a saints as they worked miracles. See you all again'

Very atmospheric place bang in the middle of the town great access on foot to all amenities. A 10 minute stroll to the Castle and the excellent car park. Breakfast was first class value. 'Such a wonderful place to stay from the location, the staff and the room. We loved it all!'

'The meals were excellent both for quality and price, staff very helpful. The bed was comfortable however the windows did not close entirely. It was quite warm so not a major problem for us but the windows needed refurbishment so they be opened or closed easily. The electric shower was very weak. These issues were relatively minor given the pluses of staff, food and comfortable beds'

'I find stairs very difficult and we were on the third floor. NOT much fun. as most of the other visitors were as old is not older than me I guess i was not the only one. They were unable to offer a change of room as they said they were full. However we never saw another soul on the corridor we were in and linen outside the door of two rooms remained there for the whole of our stay, we don't think we had any neighbours! If you're having a short stay there's no housekeeping by default, (which they don't tell you when you arrive) but there's only a small (non-heated) towel rail, so you're going to have soggy towels on day 2. 'The house is beautiful. It's built around a courtyard with the bedrooms on one side and the living rooms on the other. So, even if some people are up late in the evening, it doesn't disturb those who want to go to sleep. There were 8 of us including 2 children and we had plenty of space. The many bathrooms made getting ready in the mornings very easy. The village has no facilities, but everything you need is a short drive away. I would definitely recommend.'
