'The location of the hotel was incredible with Alnwick castle to the left of the entrance. The hotel has everything a person would want and need and is saturated in luxury. The staff were incredibly accommodating and I hope to come back. '

'Unfortunately, the check-in at this hotel was one of the worst I’ve experienced. Firstly, they do not accept American Express, which was inconvenient and not clearly stated in advance. The receptionist then struggled to process my alternative card, insisting it didn’t work. I politely asked her to try again and of course, the card worked perfectly the third time, confirming it was a user error on her part.
What made the situation worse was her lack of apology or acknowledgment of the mistake....
