'If you are looking for a quaint quiet and cozy place out of the way all your own BUT so close to everything around then this is it. The dock and the lake is so beautiful. My boys loved walking on the sandbar in it and using the kayak! The cottage is surrounded by woods so it’s private. Now it is an older cottage, but it is so clean and kept up. It held our family of 4 perfectly. The top bunk was unusable for us as it’s too close to the ceiling, but if you had a small child it would be fine....

'We found the home to be in perfect order and very charming. It was a little disappointing to learn how far away and difficult it was to get to the water. The andvertises a closer to water location. The other comment I have sent along to the owner is the fire alarm and carbon monoxide alarms went off in the middle of the evening disturbing our sleep for no apparent reasons.'

'We enjoined our stay very much, but I want to offer some constructive criticisms. It took us 45 min. to find the VRBO with our GPS, since info provided does not lead anyone to the condo. The building this unit is in does not have a number on it. When we finally found the condo, inside we found a 3 ring notebook with the detailed location of all buildings in the Schuss Mountain resort area which I photographed below. 'We stayed here for a couple of days during a road trip and had a great experience! Perfect location to walk to downtown Traverse City. Clean and had everything we needed. The kids loved staying in the bunk beds and the washer/dryer was a huge bonus! We would stay here again. '
