'A great place for a couple of days staycation. The personell was amazing. Fantastic food, specially the breakfast. An old mansion turned in to a hotel as I understand. It is not super modern and has a bit of wear and tear but for me it is part of the charm. Very calm surroundings. Maybe not for the traveller that is looking for an action filled adventure. For me, that wanted a couple of lazy days, away from "it all", this was perfect.'

Property is geared towards big events hosting so felt empty on many days and then suddenly full. Overall enjoyed it as a great sleeping pad for our north of Nairobi trips like hells gate national park, ziplining and ol pejete trips. Grounds were pretty, so you can enjoy a day or two in the property itself.'

'Booked an standard room. Was nice but simple. With two persons and two suitcases it's maybe a little small. You have to put your suitecase on the floor and live from out the suitecase. We asked for bigger room and no problem with some extra payment we got a very nice room in the main building. Very good service and we had an very nice stay. Will go here next time too!!!'

We've stayed at Ibis Styles before and sadly faced the same issues again. While the rooms and environment are beautiful and inviting, the guest service falls short. Both times, we were wrongly asked to pay for "early check-in" despite our booking clearly stating check-in was at 10 AM. This time, we had to show proof again before being allowed in without the extra charge.
Most concerning, my fiancée—who is a woman of color—was twice subjected to unfair treatment. On both visits, she was asked to prove her stay, unlike me. Most recently, a security guard followed us from the rooftop bar to our room, questioning her presence even though she had already been checked in for two days.
The management seriously needs to address staff attitude and discriminatory behavior. Until then, we can't recommend it in good faith."
