SCHITTERENDE Parkside Villa in Resort Center of Kiawah

Deze schattige 2 slaapkamers, 2 badkamers, end-unit condo is ideaal gelegen in het hart van Kiawah. Een comfortabel, goed ingericht appartement, perfect voor elke kleine groep gasten die op zoek zijn naar een opwindende vakantiebestemming!

Bij binnenkomst voelt men meteen de strandsfeer. De lichte kleuren en de eenvoudige, ontspannen stijl versterken alleen maar de allure van zand en zon. Verzamelen rond de 55 "Flat Screen TV in de woonkamer, terwijl cozying omhoog op de traagschuim slaapbank. Het eetgedeelte biedt plaats aan zes personen, zodat u gemakkelijk kunt genieten van een familiemaaltijd. De volledig uitgeruste keuken sport bijgewerkt granieten aanrecht, samen met moderne apparatuur.

Stap uit op de beschutte achtergalerij waar elke gast kan zitten, ontspannen en genieten van de prachtige uitzichten en geluiden van Kiawah Island.

De grote slaapkamer is voorzien van een kingsize bed, een tv en een eigen badkamer. De tweede slaapkamer bevat twee stapelbedden, in totaal 4 eenpersoonsbedden. Een tweede complete badkamer is toegankelijk vanuit de gang.

Dit appartement ligt in de East Beach Community en op slechts enkele minuten van het stadscentrum, het tenniscentrum East Beach, Night Heron Park, The Sanctuary Hotel en de golfbaan Turtle Point. En natuurlijk is het slechts een korte wandeling van het strand!

Work trip with a little leisure

We were visiting the island to do some work and decided to bring our daughter. We stayed at the sweet grass property and it was beautiful. The beds were very comfortable. Excellent location if you have kids! Right next to the nature center and walkable to the beach (about 2 blocks) take advantage of the tours and the activities at the nature center, our daughter loved them and the guides were wonderful! Only downside to our trip was restaurants were closed for renovations but it seems that is common for the time of year we were there which is why we were there working But there was a fantastic pizza/Italian restaurant in the shopping village. Highly recommend this property.

Helene escape

We enjoyed our stay and were very appreciative to have a place to stay for a few days during the aftermath of Helene. My only suggestion would be to keep sheets for the air mattresses. We needed to use one for my son, but couldn’t find any sheets for it so we used our beach towels.

Perfect family gathering

This is our second time staying in this unit. It’s always clean and cozy. It’s a great place to gather which family to go biking, walk on the beach, or just stay inside to put together a puzzle. We hope to return again soon.

TLDR: Rent a different unit.

-1.5 stars, the biggest issue by far: The AC in this unit does not function properly. So instead of having the AC unit fixed, there is a dehumidifier that you, the renter, needs to empty every 4 hours. You also can't hear the TV over the din of the dehumidifier; so pick your entertainment. This will continue at night where if you don't empty it, the humidity will ramp up. So when we checked in, the unit was about 78% humidity which is very high. We were not told that we would have to constantly maintain the dehumidifier when we booked. We would've booked elsewhere if we knew. Why is this a big deal? There is already mildew growing on the furniture and every time the AC does come on, there is a distinct musk that comes from the air vents. Never in our family's 40+ years of staying on Kiawah have we experienced this issue and it was pretty disappointing. PM made attempts to resolve but was pushed till after we left. -1.5 stars for furniture. Take note of the white "sofa" in the listing photos. It is not a sofa. Instead it is the $20 futon from college resurrected as a sleeping option for two individuals. At 5ft long it holds no one comfortably. The cushions on the white chairs are mildewing so we didn't use them. +1 star for location. Quick access to Night Heron Park and the beach is great. +1 star for the benefit of the doubt that this is the 1st summer of the new owner. But honestly, this unit should be removed until the AC, mildew, & furniture are resolved.

Perfect little get away!

This property worked out great for us. Our basketball loving 13yo son was able to walk a few minutes to the basketball courts at Night Heron Park. The beach was about a 10 min walk, but since we visited in March, we weren't beaching with a bunch of stuff, so the walk was no problem. We also had our dog with us and the property was perfect for him. It's on the 1st floor and has a large green space out the back, convenient for potty breaks. The house was clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed, the beds were really comfortable, and it had two porches- one screened in with a table and sofa, as well as a few rockers on an unscreened porch. You could tell the owners really wanted to make their guests feel at home. They provided some games and beach chairs/toys. Very thoughtful! We had a great time and would love to return!

Perfect spot for long weekend

We loved our stay here! The space was clean, updated, and the beds were very comfortable! It was a great spot to spend time with friends and bring our pup along. Very convenient to the beach, running/biking path, soccer field, and playground all within walking distance. We would definitely stay here again.

A wonderful week away

The villa was great. We had everything we needed and it was in an excellent location. We enjoyed the patio each night at sunset and watching the wildlife, especially the deer, at all times of the day throughout the week. The neighbors were friendly and the area was quiet. It was a lovely week of relaxation!

Wonderful property

The villa was comfortable and well stocked. There was plenty of sitting room in the living room. The kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. The screen porch was pleasant. It is walking distance to East Beach Market and Night Heron Park.

Great trip to Kiawah!

The property is beautifully decorated. The kitchen was well stocked, even with plastic dishes for our toddler. The king size bed was very comfortable! We had a very relaxing week! Recommend renting kayaks and bikes through Kiawah Golf Resort. They dropped the bikes off at our condo and picked them up when we left. We were able to kayak from Mingo Point without a group and saw dolphins in the Kiawah River.

Great Property

This is a very nice property with great views. The condo has been nicely renovated and is very clean. I appreciated that the screened in porch was clean and usable. We would definitely consider renting this property again.

Nicely decorated

Property is nicely decorated and kitchen fully stocked. We rent in Kiawah once or twice each year and we were surprised to have trouble with bugs (silverfish and roaches) Management offered to come spray but we were leaving in 2 days so had them spray after we left. Property was too far to walk to beach and AC was loud. We will be renting back at Mariner’s Watch so that we can easily access beach.

Great location, just the right size

This was our third visit to Kiawah Island. We were familiar with East Beach and Parkside villas, and enjoy the location for its proximity to the beach and bike path. This was a smaller unit than we normally rent for our family of six, but the layout worked for us. The furniture, including the beds were comfortable and we loved the screened in porch. I also really enjoyed the extras including the furniture for the deck as well as the items my children could take to the beach. I also was very pleased with the communication from the property manager. I contacted them regarding a non-emergency question on a Sunday and heard back within the hour. Great customer service! My only suggestions would be to purchase in new coffee maker. The one provided in the unit was difficult to use and leaked when we tried to make coffee. Also, while the free sample of coffee provided was delicious, there was no filter in the unit. We also had some difficulty with the icemaker not working correctly. Overall, it was a great stay and we would rebook.

Great short stay

Great short stay for daughter’s tennis tournament. Short walk to Roy Barth Tennis Facility and Market. Villa is perfectly appointed with quality, sturdy comfortable furniture. The Master King Bed is super comfortable with pillow top. The living room couch is so comfy that wife fell asleep on it. AC works great which is always a huge plus. Owner left coffee filters, small coffee bag, 2 garbage bags which was nice. Note that while the kitchen is fully stocked in terms of utensils, it has zero stock in terms of spices (i.e no salt, pepper, ketchup, cooking oil etc). I actually like this, as it keeps it clean and helps keep bugs away...but wasn’t ready for it. Will be ready next time as I would love to stay here again when I visit Kiawah. One thing...there were a couple of dead palmetto bugs which is unavoidable since it is Kiawah and 1st floor unit. But the key is that they were dead, which proves the unit is upkept from a pest control standpoint. Couple of small spiders too, but harmless. Unit also maximizes space of second bedroom with 2 bunk beds (also saw 2 Twin Aerobeds in closet). In summary, great decor, clean, sturdy furniture, centrally located and flawless check in process. Will definitely stay here again.
