Welkom in dit ruime en onlangs gerenoveerde appartement in Maui, in KOA Resort. KOA Resort is een klein en rustig tropisch resort direct tegenover het strand. Dit is een grote 3 slaapkamers, 2 badkamers volledig ingerichte eenheid voor al uw vakantie nodig heeft! Buiten de standaardvoorzieningen beschikt het bijgewerkte appartement over comfortabele bedden, draadloos internet en smart / roku-tv's. Wonderful place to stay with the family with plenty of room for everyone. Very basic amenities and had to buy own seasoning, trash bags washer ect. Pack and play needs to he replaced, smelled of urine and didnt feel comfortable having my daughter sleep in it, no sheets for it either. Plenty of beach amenities that came in very handy! Overall good place to stay.

The place was very good for our needs. Unfortunately the washer/ dryer was not working. The dryer ran for 10 min and stopped regardless of setting and the load of rash guards we washed leaked water onto the floor. I sent a message to the owner but got no response. It didn’t matter too much for us, it would have been a nice perk but did not spoil the vacation in any way. The pool/ hot tub was great after a day on the beach.

The condo was very beautiful and spacious enough for 6 people. The kitchen and dining space was lovely to have and big enough for us as well. We really appreciated having beach towels, beach chairs and a cooler to use during our stay. We hardly had to use the air conditioner as the fans were sufficient enough in circulating air. The flooring had gaps in it though where a few of the pieces didn’t connect, a few of us tripped on it in the kitchen. The host was slow to respond to messages, requiring us to send a follow up message a few days later, but she promptly responded after that. The beach nearby is quite rocky, but nicer beaches were a short drive away. The pool at the complex was very nice and well maintained.

We had an excellent stay. Check-in was easy. We had to do work during our stay so it was nice to have good working WiFi. Family had a good time with the facilities Ping Pong, Tennis, and Pool. Super close to the beach to enjoy the beautiful sunsets. Kitchen was equipped with all your cooking necessities and Balcony was super enjoyable in the morning and at night. Only items that came up were the property turned off the water during our stay without proper notification. It unfortunately happened after we just got back from an early morning surf and we were in the shower. Not the Hosts fault but the property management needs to notify people a little better like knocking on doors and leaving notes on unites. It is also important for people to know that the bunk beds are literally on the floor. It’s good for little ones under 10 but a little uncomfortable for teenagers that are a little taller. Overall everything was super convenient for our large family and we would stay again. Thank you!

Women’s Week of Rest and Relaxing

Overall I would recommend staying here. Kihei in general is super for so many places nearby to visit. The sleeping accommodations made it nice and not squishy. We loved having the patio to look out at beautiful flowers and have room for all of us to sit and chat. It was nice to have a kitchen with most everything needed to cook with and refrigerate. The living room was spacious for the 5 of us. It was wonderful to have beach chairs for all of us to take to the beach. The swimming pool was lovely. The neighborhood felt safe and clean. The morning, like 3:00 am rooster woke my friends each morning so throw in some ear plugs. We loved our stay!!!What I hope is taken care of for our next visit: directions to find our condo in the development in the middle of the night, balcony floor washed, the slider to have a lock, reminder to clean dryer vent (it was so full from prior guests), pool key maybe left on the notebook about the complex. Gaps in the flooring repaired, lots of stubbed toes. Do the windows in the master room close and lock? The walk to the beach is a little longer than just crossing a street, unless a key opens the gates to the street. The beach directly across from the complex is extremely gross, trust me. It’s sludge run off. Don’t go there, it will ruin the beauty of Hawaii. We really loved everything, just little things to make it even better

relaxing stay in Kihei

The unit was perfect for our family. My wife and I had one downstairs bedroom and our son and his wife has the other. The three grand-girls had the upstairs bunk beds. The kitchen was well equipped for our needs although we did eat out often. The kids made good use of the pool and we enjoyed the spa! Kihei is a great location - close to all Maui has to offer.

Not a worst stay but wasn’t that pleasant

old community with multiple blocks each includes 4 apartments in as a unit with renovations inside. It was clean from inside except we had a cockroach and a couple of insects waiting to welcome us. We left some food particles by mistake and there were few ants when we returned.It was booked for 8 guests but had only 7 blankets. Technically, it has room for 4 adults and 4 kids under age of 12. Out of 2 bedrooms only one had AC unit. Rooms had TV but maim living hall area didn’t have one. Third bedroom is an upper level loft.Cheap mattresses and pillows - got back pain to few of us. No additional pillows as well.No bathing items like body wash shampoo conditioner etc. No soap holders in all bathrooms which were standing ones so while taking shower you ll have to bent down to take soap or shampoo.Half of the kitchen utensils were not usable. Toaster was rusted badly so couldn’t use.Overall, it’s okay to stay if you were planning to do activities outside for most of the day until late evening and definitely not for 8 adults.

Lacking

For the price you pay per night, this property is lacking.We were provided only 4 rolls of toilet paper for a 10-day stay with 8 people. Only S&P provided & some tea bags. No sugar. No laundry detergent provided. Not enough garbage bags. The liquid hand soap had been watered down so much that it was useless.Someone has tried to DIY the place and done a terrible job. There are gaps in the flooring planks everywhere which hurt when stepped on. There's also some cracked flooring panels that can scratch your feet up if stepped on wrong. The upstairs bathroom door hits the light when opening. No caulking around taps - a mould nightmare waiting to happen.The balcony door has no lock. The hallway light doesn't work. The microwave exhaust and light don't work. The bathmat upstairs has destroyed the bottom of the bathroom door. The toaster is broken on one side and the side that does work has no push-down handle. There were rags & towels left in the washing machine from the cleaners that we didn't notice for 3 days.Only a broom provided - no rags/cleaner.The door needs an overview on how to lock it properly - we ended up not locking it a couple of times due to not knowing how.The location is good if you have a car. We weren't able to walk anywhere due to the mudslide conditions from the recent storms.The resort was nice and kept up well. The pool & hot tub were nice. The provided beach amenities were plentiful.Reaching out to the property owner got no response.

This property was good for us. Location was convenient. The lights are definitely tricky and some don’t work. The place could use a new toaster and the sliding glass door goes off the track. More tupperware and toliet paper for guests would be great as well.

Great location and complex. Pool is great. Condo was not very clean and a few items could stand to be replaced. Overall for the amount of time we spent there it worked for us. We have stayed at a different unit at this complex in the past which is why we cam back.

My family and I stayed here for 3 nights on vacation. We liked the setup, on site pool and hot tub, and proximity to numerous activities (Snorkeling, National Park, etc.). One item that I was disappointed is that there were no restaurants in walking distance from the property.

A disappointing stay

We encountered various problems during our stay here. The sliding glass doors to the lanai were very difficult to open and close and could not be locked at all. Since the apartment is on the 2nd floor and the lanai is easily accessed, we did not feel safe leaving the door unlocked and had to use an extension cord which we brought to tie around the door every time we went out. The teflon cooking pans in the kitchen were so badly scratched and damaged, we were unable to cook with them. The sofa badly needs to be cleaned - it’s slick with sunscreen lotion, and there is a chair that is falling apart. One of the bedside lights in the front bedroom did not work. The hamper containing beach equipment is filled with sand and has obviously not been checked or cleaned out in a while - both beach umbrellas are broken and beach chairs were unusable. There was a long list of things to do when checking out despite a hefty cleaning fee. One of the items was to run the dishwasher for dirty dishes but no dishwasher soap was provided - we handwashed throughout our stay. The liquid handsoap provided was so watered down, it had barely any soap in it. While the owner did reply a day later and after a second query regarding a non-working hall light which is apparently un-repairable and a non-working living room fan which finally turned on when we were instructed to flip a switch which was marked « do not touch », our concerns, particularly the non-locking doors, were not resolved.

Kihei Family Vacation

Overall location and resort were very nice. The number of rooms which was my mistake looked like there were 3 rooms and a loft. There are two rooms and a small loft with 4 smaller than twin size beds but worked well enough. Maui is beautiful and we were not in the condo very much so to have a place to sleep and the kitchen living room is open concept with lots of room. We really enjoyed our stay!

The condo was fine, some parts were updated and fine. There were a lot of things that didn’t work. The light and fan in the living area didn’t work, the hall light didn’t work, the windows didn’t open and close- many of the knobs were stripped, the blinds in some of the rooms didn’t open and there was no way to pull them up to let the air blow through the unit, and the pillows were very uncomfortable. We enjoyed the pool and sitting on the lanai at night. The kitchen was pretty nice and we appreciated the ice from the refrigerator. The bunk beds were good and the bathrooms were nice. It would have been nice to have somewhere to leave our luggage until we could get into our unit. All the people we met were very nice.

Great Location and Clean Property

The condo was clean and had a variety of dishes for indoor and outdoor cooking. This allowed us to have a lunchtime bbq in the picnic area. All the public areas of the complex were spotless. The property manager for Koa Resorts was super helpful. We enjoyed evening walks to the beach due to the close proximity. We got locked out of the property and even though he does not manage the unit we rented, he reached out to the host on our behalf. It wasn't very pleasant that our host never responded to him or vrbo's customer service to help us. Thankfully other friendly renters were able to help.

The property was fine. Nothing exceptional but was a good location and worked for our family. The beach near the condo was not nice and across a busy road but we drove to beautiful beaches. The pool was nice at the property. We were able to grill out at the communal grills. Nice that they provided beach chairs, umbrellas and towels. Bath linens were very nice.

The condo was clean and central location to many Maui activities. The remodel that was done was fine for a rental visit, but the gaps in the floor boards uneven tile in the shower and the drawer that didn't open in the kitchen because it hit the stove would drive me crazy if I lived their full time. The beach toys/chairs/umbrellas in the chest outside were great. The unit is on the 2nd floor, so keep that in mind. The grounds were great, we used the BBQs, table tennis, pool and tennis courts. Easy to park, and they had a rolling cart to help you get your items to and from your unit. The unit had no laundry soap, or condiments, just a few spices in the cabinet. If you need more than that then be prepared to stop at Target for additional supplies. We can never figure out how to get the back sliding door to lock (just couldn't find a lock or lever) and there were no curtains leaving you somewhat exposed in the evening. Overall good stay for our extended family of 8 who ate/prepped every meal in the unit. We texted the owners number a few times with questions but never received a response, luckily they weren't urgent issues.

Great Location

Close to everything with a great pool. The condo was spotless when we arrived. I was a little worried about the size of the washer & dryer because there were 5 of us but it worked great & kept up with us all week. Would definitely recommend. It was also nice that the kids had their own bathroom upstairs. Thumbs up.

Good choice for family

The condo provided a mostly comfortable stay for our family of 8, offering ample space and amenities. One of the double beds was not very comfortable, but we were so busy exploring the amazing island each day that sleep still came quickly! However, it could benefit from some small additional touches to enhance the overall experience (in the check-in, be more clear as to which unit it is upon arrival as we initially walked the wrong way from the parking lot and spent 10 minutes wandering the complex after a midnight arrival, some electrical outlets that look unsafe in one bedroom, provide enough cloths to do dishes and enough pillowcases for all pillows… a small bag of coffee for day 1 would be a simple touch too). All appliances worked well, though the dryer knob is finicky. There is a nice sized kitchen to prepare food and the BBQs were great! The highlight was undoubtedly the pool, which provided a refreshing and enjoyable way to relax each day. We enjoyed the use of the tennis court too, along with the provided racquets. The location was great and a short drive to shops and a central location to drive to other Maui highlights. Overall, a decent option for families and we would stay here again.

Good value

Stayed for 10 days, listing is accurate and a good value for location. Small issues (burnt out lights, some BBQ tools that would be nice to have, limited cleaning supplies, coffee filters) but overall a good value. AC worked great, beds were comfortable and location was great.
