'Great, fairly priced place to stay'

'This is a nice hotel just south of Naivasha in the city of Karagita. The staff is nice, they have a beautiful green garden with a swimming pool and the breakfast offers a decent selection. The room has all the things you need and the bed is comfortable. On the downside, the hotel is very noisy. If people come home late at night you can hear them talk in the hallway, and you can hear the bar/breakfast room downstairs. We also had issue with the wifi being very poor. '

'A great place for a couple of days staycation. The personell was amazing. Fantastic food, specially the breakfast. An old mansion turned in to a hotel as I understand. It is not super modern and has a bit of wear and tear but for me it is part of the charm. Very calm surroundings. Maybe not for the traveller that is looking for an action filled adventure. For me, that wanted a couple of lazy days, away from "it all", this was perfect.'

'Great stay, if you want to stay north of Nairobi. Place has a unique colonial character, service is more reflective of times gone by. Food was great and well priced. Property is geared towards big events hosting so felt empty on many days and then suddenly full. Overall enjoyed it as a great sleeping pad for our north of Nairobi trips like hells gate national park, ziplining and ol pejete trips. Grounds were pretty, so you can enjoy a day or two in the property itself.'

'While all staff were very welcoming and kind, several requests went unattended. The wait time for a service request was long and a lost item of mine took 2 days to return to me from the managers office. The coffee was instant and that is disappointing given Kenyan coffee is so delicious. We were given no instructions on how to get hot water to our shower either and only discovered this after a couple of cold showers.'

'Overall this was a nice hotel. The issue I experienced finding my wallet missing money immediately after a staff member cleaned our room. When escalating the incident with the hotel staff, they sided with their staff member and the story they told us was not believable. '

Place is hard to find and it would help if they had a sign thay said "El Sueno Homestay" outside the Main Gate instead of our driver wondering if this is the place, calling the lady, then her coming outside.
