'Die Brekka Lodge ist wunderschön gelegen und hat einen herrlichen Ausblick über den Fjord. Auch die Unterkunft selbst ist sehr gemütlich und die Einrichtung bietet alles, was man für einen gelungenen Urlaub braucht. Wir haben hier den Jahreswechsel verbracht und hatten das Glück, an zwei Abenden Polarlichter sehen zu können - perfekt. Auch für Ausflüge ist die Lage ideal. 'Skuli was a superb host. He communicated with us several days before our stay and walked us through every step of check-in. 'Heel mooi gelegen. Communicatie met eigenares was top. We hadden enkel problemen door de hevige sneeuwval, waardoor onze wagens geblokkeerd zaten in het midden van het straatje. Ik denk dat dit eerder geschikt is om tijdens de lente - zomer - herfst te huren. Maar de eigenares probeerde ons te helpen om zo snel mogelijk de baan terug sneeuwvrij te krijgen.'

'Erla's cozy red cottage was in the perfect place for us to get to after arriving early in Reykjavik. We were easily able to get to the things we wanted to see and do...Borgarnes and the Snefellsnes Penn. The house was spotless, the living area was spacious, and the beds were comfortable. We so enjoyed the hot tub after a long day witnessing the magic of Iceland. We would have stayed longer if there had been more days available.'

'Alvorens de reis vanaf Akureyri richting Borgarnes aan te vangen, nam ik voor de goede orde contact op om door te geven dat ik na de uiterlijke inchecktijd van 19:00 uur zou aankomen. De zeer behulpzame dame, deelde mede dat mijn komst rond 21:00 géén enkel probleem was. Een en ander bleek na aankomst zonder enige overdrijving, alles klopte, de kamer met kitchenette, uitstekende sanitaire voorzieningen. Vlakbij ligt Borgarnes, en beukt de Atlantische Oceaan op het basalt wat hier aangelegd is...

'Great location and quiet setting, close to nature. Good condition of the cabins, although we could not figure out the TV signals - not our priority since we wanted to experience the outdoors. Everything else works well and you feel comfortable. On the dow side, the mosquitoes wouldn't allow us to sleep well. Suggest replacing windows blinds with a darker color to provide shade at night during Summer.'

'Das Mietobjekt liegt 10 km von Borgarnes entfernt auf einem kleinen Hügel. Das Haus ist ganz neu, modern und zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Leider fehlte der TV, was uns jedoch nicht störte. Eine Mikrowelle wurde uns auf Anfrage sofort zur Verfügung gestellt. Die Küchenausstattung könnte etwas umfassender sein. Der Vermieter ist sehr nett.'
