'We loved staying here & the situation is perfect for a visit to The Hippodrome, strolling along the waterfront for a leisurely lunch, an easy walk to Cabot Circus & easy access to buses. We will recommend it & hopefully return in the future. '

'Lovely location and our king room was superb. Our host Lisa was there to welcome us, such a helpful and friendly lady. We were shown to our room where she had prepared comprehensive details of useful information about places to go, eating places etc. Lovely en-suite shower and extremely comfortable bed.

'I had a lovely stay at the carpenters arms. The room had everything I needed and was comfortable. Nice toiletries in the bathroom and a fab bath.
I had dinner and breakfast as part of my stay. Dinner was delicious with a good variety of options. Dessert was yummy too. Breakfast was a two course affair with local produce - the best orange juice I've had in some time! I'd definitely visit again. '

"We stayed at the Doubletree Hilton hotel for 1 night and were very pleased. We booked a standard room which was clean and had all the necessary accomodations you would expect (water cooker, coffee, tea, iron, ironing board, vault,…). The room itself was rather small (we travelled with 1 large suitcase, 1 small and 2 backpacks) but the layout of the room was good providing even enough space next to the bed to open the large suitecase. There were enough power supplies (we counted 14 power outlets in total) which also contained an USB-A outlet. The bathroom was compact but there was plenty of space to place your toiletries. Showergel, shampoo, handgel and body lotion were all present.
The breakfast was well organised and quite complete: english breakfast, bread, several serials, meat, cheese, several juices, a wide arrangement of fruits, yochurt and cakes.
The hotel is also located at a busstop for the A1 which drives directly from and to the airport, which is very convenient. Overall there was nothing to fault. I had a good night sleep and an enjoyable stay. "
