Stephanie was a great host and communicator. During a big storm warning she checked on us, sent us helpful info, and made sure we had flashlights, etc. She was readily available and very personable. The Ohana house (apt) is beautiful and modern, wonderfully roomy, in a very safe neighborhood, and quite convenient to two great beaches and multiple eateries and shops in Poipu. We walked several miles most mornings, went to the beach, and grabbed coffee close by. The bed is comfortable with a nice choice of pillows, the kitchen is well stocked, and the shower is big with great water pressure. The A/C in the bedroom was very nice and needed. When the winds blew down from the mountains the living space and lanai were comfortable, but during our first week they blew in from the ocean and hit the back of the house, never really getting in through windows or onto the lanai. We were sticky and hot then. The big fan in the living room did help when on high power. My reason for the 4 star rating is two fold. First, there were some bugs (sugar ants and a few cockroaches). Not many but off-putting nonetheless. Secondly, in the entire place there is only one small mirror hung fairly high above the bathroom sink. Two people cannot get ready at the same time, and on vacation I really wanted a full length mirror. I do hope the owner makes this simple fix. This is a very nice and safe VRBO. Oh, and the washer and dryer in the garage were wonderful as well!

We totally enjoyed our stay in this one bedroom private apartment. The location was perfect with quick easy access to beaches, restaurants, and shopping. The neighborhood is very beautiful and quiet. If you would enjoy coming home to peace and quiet after exploring the island this place is made for you. We had everything we needed from the kitchen, bathroom, beach equip, towels, AC in bedroom, laundry, bed was comfortable, and our own one car garage. But, our FAVORITE space was the lovely lanai. We started each day outside with our coffee and ended our days outside with a cocktail. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Another wonderful stay!

My husband and I have rented this property three times over the last few years. Everything in the home is in pristine condition. The home is in an upscale neighborhood and walkable to several restaurants, a shopping center and beautiful beaches. The nearby homeowners and their children are very quiet and keep to themselves. Once again, we would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for an off the beach location with walkability.

Hot / humid day of arrival. Happy to see a mini-split to off-set the unseasonal temps and humidity. The AC is only in the bedroom area, but will chill and dehumidify the unit enough to make it comfortable. Picked up some pleasant evening breezes on other days. Place was clean and communication w/ host excellent, unlike some other stays. Location was great. Surrounded by multi-million dollar homes in a v. quiet neighborhood; close to beaches and had good kitchen area & bath. Overall excellent and would definitely stay again. Here the 'alohas' were sincere, and we appreciated that.

Beautiful property woth great amenities, and owner has a friendly dog!

Dog lovers will love to meet Lucky, the owners dog. Situated in a nice neighbourhood which is a mile stroll/ run to the beach (if you love a morning run, cant recommend enough). Has a full kitchen thats well stocked with a stove and cutlery.AC is only in the bedroom and the living room is cooled by a fan, but we found it sufficient even when the peak outside temperature was 28C or 83FCarpark is secure and enclosed.

Great place to stay! We'd go back

We really enjoyed our stay here! The apartment is spacious and clean, and has nice amenities. It's located is in a beautiful, upscale neighborhood. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was great. The private first floor garage was a plus too. We'd definitely stay here again.That said, these were our complaints:There's a single AC unit for the whole apartment, which is fine for keeping the bedroom cool with the doors shut, but isn't as capable for cooling off the entire apartment unless it's running constantly. We were out and about nearly all day we were there, and opened the windows and porch door to cool off the apartment in the evening, but it could be a bit hotter than we would've preferred at times.Also, the apartment was very hot when we arrived, as if it hadn't been opened up far enough in advance our arrival to sufficiently cool it off. We arrived to an apartment that must have been over 90 degrees, even though it was 70 something degrees outside.Overall, we were pleased with our stay and would happily stay here again.

True, the rental is spacious and spotless and well appointed with everything you will need. True the location is in a high end neighborhood and very convenient to Poipu and all the area has to offer. A minor tick off on location because the rental is above the garage and just steps from the entrance to the main house...and the family (rightfully) uses those spaces, a lot, at all hours, and sometimes with grinding equipment and loud conversations. Further, to have privacy the blinds need to be lowered, blocking those fabulous breezes which would otherwise come through the generous length of windows on all sides of the apartment. A tick-off on accuracy of posting because the exterior photos show the street view before it was built out. There are no longer undeveloped expanses beyond the patio. Large houses with similar garage-top rentals now line the road across the street. Finally, a minor tick-off with the interior because there are no reading lights around the sitting furniture...you have to rely on the overhead lights which at least are dimmable. A floor light or table lamp near the chairs or across the broad sitting area near the couch nook would add function and a cozier feel. (But yay to reading lights on both nightstands !). Finally, I should point out that it was the weekend when we stayed here and because I was sick, we were mostly at home. I don't fault the occupants of the main house...they need to do their home activities on the weekends.

This place was beautiful, beautifully decorated, felt beach classy. I stayed for 8 days. It really felt like home! Owners super nice. Very accommodating and quick to respond if I had questions. I recommend this to anyone and everyone! It was my dream getaway.

Pretty much perfect

I had an excellent stay here. The property was just right for me and had all of the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. It's in a great, quiet neighborhood and is walkable to the beach, nearby restaurants, and shopping. The kitchen is very-well equipped and the lanai is a fantastic place to unwind at the end of a long day. My only regret was that I didn't stay longer. Definitely plan to make it back here at some point!

This is a wonderful rental that has all the details of home for a very comfortable stay. They have a well stocked kitchen with high quality appliances. The bed and bedding are comfortable along with A/C unit for the bedroom. We especially enjoyed the Lanai and its tropical breezes. The owners are very hospitable and if we return we would stay there again. It is close to beach and very quiet. We recommend it highly.

The place was amazing. The location was great. The neighborhood was quiet and close to the beach, restaurants, and shopping. The inside was perfect for the two of us. The kitchen had everything we needed, the shower was really nice, and the bedroom was comfortable and had enough storage. The owners were kind enough to let us know we could check in early. We enjoyed our stay and hope to be back someday soon.
