'The resort is surrounded by nature, very quiet and peaceful - perfect if that’s what you’re looking for. It can be a bit inconvenient without a car, but there’s a bus stop right in front of the hotel that runs at specific times and goes to the nearest train station, Shiojiri. The owner was very kind and even offered to pick me up and drop me off at the station, and he also took me to visit the old town, Narai-juku.

'Unmatched experience. A ryokan that takes on only one guest group per night. Kim-mi, the owner, and truly heart and soul of the house is so polite and forthcoming, it’s unbelievable. The house itself is beautifully curated with a mix of traditional and modern. The secluded location is elevating the experience to the next level. Kim-mi has a rich story to tell and conveys it through the creation of this Ryokan. I truly believe it’s a hidden gem that is gonna blow up once people start noticing...

'Very friendly and accommodating hosts. They prepared us an amazing 4 course meal for dinner and a beautiful breakfast. We played games after dinner and they helped with suggestions about what to do in the area. '

'It's a wonderful hotel. Very clean, services were excellent. My family including the kids enjoyed staying thoroughly.
Very close to our ski school, easy to find.

'Very thoughtful and helpful staff, always offering us heat packs/ umbrella when we leave in the morning.
Onsen is small but has both indoor and outdoor areas, good vanity supplies and hair dryer.
Location is excellent if you drive and want to be based near the Hoshino resort area. Plenty of things to explore within 20min drive from hotel.'
