Dit hotel boeken wij nooit meer
Voor de prijs per nacht mag je echt veel meer verwachten, zeker in Maleisië waar de standaard ‘Veel waarde voor minder geld” is. Ik was hier jaren geleden en ik had er toen een zeer goede indruk van. Dit hotel heette toen “The Prince Hotel” en ik kan nu niet anders zeggen dan dat de kamers uitgesproken oud en vervallen zijn. Ik woonde op nu de 14e verdieping. Kamers zijn slecht schoongemaakt. Badkamer is erg klein en sober. (zelf maar glazen en wat bestek gekocht) Geen waslijn om je natte spullen aan op te hangen. Meubilair is werkelijk oubollig en door de jaren versleten. Er hingen geen badjassen. (na navraag heb ik ze wel gekregen..) Het keukenblok is werkelijk aan vervanging toe. De internet/wifi verbinding waardeloos, een behoorlijke teammeeting was niet mogelijk. Telkens brak het internet af.. Dagelijks komen er 7-11 bussen met vakantiegangers binnen. Veel van deze mensen gebruiken wierook op de kamers en de ventilatie van dit hotel is zo slecht dat je op de volledige 14e verdieping een verbrande geur van plastic rook had…. En u weet … zoveel mensen bezorgen je ook een status en ook een bepaald karakter… ik heb tot 2 x toe de beveiliging om 01.00AM moeten vragen om het rustig op de gangen te krijgen…. De bedden rond het zwembad , (wel 8 stuks) zijn aan vervanging toe net zoals de matrassen. Het personeel is uitgesproken vriendelijk vooral de mensen aan de receptie en conciërge, zeer gunstige liggen t.o.v. van het “Paviljon”. (shopping paradijs)

Nice hotel close near shopping centre en public transport. Close to public facilities and easily accessible by public transport. The hotel has good facilities including a fitness and swimming pool. The staff is friendly and very hospitable. Even the late check in was fantastic. A special compliment to the always kind and supported staff of the executive lounge. The breakfast was delicious both in the restaurant and in the executive lounge. The club room was spacious and had wonderful beds I highly recommend this superior hotel.

Centraal gelegen t.o. Pavilion Mall
Ruim en schoon apartement met keuken, 2 ruime slaapkamers met eigen badkamer en toilet en eigen TV. Hoewel aan renovatie toe niet storend, door de grote huiselijke woonkamer met kamerpanten, zithiek, TV, eethoek en bureau. Prettig zonnig gelegn zwembad met tuin en pool bar op de 10e etage.

For a Pullman property we were very disappointed. Our larger upgrade room was nice enough but is showing its age. Massive bed but hard as a rock. Air conditioning blowing right on to bed, so hard to get room temp comfortable. We dined at the large, but mostly empty, international restaurant and were very underwhelmed. We had the “Korean style special” wings, a seafood Laksa and a mushroom soup. After a long wait the wine arrived, and after an even longer wait the soup and Laksa arrived. Soup was ok, but Laksa was the worst I have had. Overcooked prawn (1) and a tasteless lime juice soup with some vegetables and Japanese Udon noodles,and, I think grated apple. Unusual. The wings were forgotten about. Waiter did eventually apologise and offered a free matcha tea sweet that no one else wanted( after tasting we realised why). A lot of room service orders apparently. When wings did arrive, we asked about the “unique” sauces to go with them. The waiter had no idea but did suggest mushroom sauce. Really, with chicken wings? When he found out we settled on the garlic/soy, but in retrospect would have been better with the mushroom sauce. We ate them but… On complaint to front desk I stressed it was not individual staff, but poor training and supervision. Poor waiter phoned later and I had to reassure him he was not completely responsible. Seemed like he was made the scapegoat. Disappointed, particularly in a Pullman property.

Cigarette smell from nowhere.
This hotel location and room was great. But the smoking smell was not a good experience. Even I’m staying in a non smoking floor but everyday I can smell cigarette smell along the corridor. I had bring this up to the hotel staff but they just keep telling me this cigarette smell was from the smoking floor right below us, I really couldn’t understand this equation. And once I had to change room because the cigarette smell was coming into my room from the AC ducting as I was told by the reception staff. This is the only set back I experienced during my stay in this hotel which was my first time staying in Pullman.

The breakfast buffet was amazing with the choice and freshly made food items including Indian, Chinese and Malay food. The decor is lovely too with in house restaurants if you can’t be bothered to go out. Its proximity to Pavilion is amazing and very easy to use Conlay or BB MRT…or just call a Grab to the hotel. The room was lovely and clean and the bed was comfortable. On a couple of occasions when we returned to the room in the evening, the room smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. We thought the cleaner was a smoker and called the housekeeping team who promptly turned up with air fresheners. The following day we had the same problem and when the housekeeping was cleaning the room next door and held the door open, we realised the smell was from that room perpendicular to ours (in a corner). We told the reception the stench must have come through the AC and given it was supposedly a non smoking floor, it was very annoying. Little was done about this, I guess we just had to wait for that guest to leave but annoying having to suffocate in either cigarette smoke or air fresheners when you’re tired!

I like how professional and welcoming all the staff at PKLCC. They were kind, friendly and easy to talk to. I like how clean and modern the hotel is, the buffet food and food selections were great. It was easy check-in for me, and the porter took care of my luggage. My room was clean and quiet. The 2nd time I checked in, I had a better view of the city. It would be note-worthy to mention Faisel, Anne, Henry and Wan Mus, some of the staff who took care of me. I say, all of the staff did a great job while I was there. Everyone had a friendly smile as they open the lobby door for me. I would return to PKLCC the next time I travel back to Malaysia.
