'A last minute booking was not an issue. Friendly reception and well organised. Lovely well appointed room. Offered for us to return (after checking out) for a swim and a shower after our safari tour !'

'The AC in our first room wasn't functioning properly. We were moved to another room and that was great. The staff were all fantastic, the pool was beautiful in a great location which felt like you were in the jungle. Breakfast was excellent. Other meals all very good and tasty. '

Op dag 2 was er een verlovingsfeest waardoor we geen gebruik konden maken van de ligbedden en zwembad. Hiervoor evenmin compensatie. Het zwembad is bijzonder klein en verdient die naam niet. Weids uitzicht op het meer. Het hotel ligt totaal geïsoleerd met werkelijk niets in de buurt.'

'Part of this hotel is under renovation. Improvements are being made but the service is excellent as provided by Dilan, the owner. This hotel has a huge lake right behind it and it is sanctuary to wild life. Very quiet and peaceful. I strongly recommend it.'

'Hotel would not honour the rate / amenities booked. At check-in informed they would not provide the amenities (game drive, afternoon tea each day) that were listed in the rate I booked. The manager blamed Expedia. The manger gave in partially and offered 1 x complimentary game drive, but this was not what we booked. Additional big negative. Room was also freezing. Asked for a blanket and told none were available - manager had an extra sheet delivered. We were told to wear more clothes if...

'This is a primitive camping site. Yes the tent is large and there is an outdoor toilet and shower which is delightful but this is still just a camp site. No other facilities. There is no A/C and it can get quite hot in the tent. We had a wonderful candle lit dinner by the chef who also lit us a fire which was beautiful under the stars. Some holes in the tent need to be fixed due to mosquitos. '

'The team at Big Game was amazing! We booked because we really wanted to do a safari and that was amazing but we were blown away be everything else! The food was above and beyond what I expected with 4 courses for dinner, 3 at lunch , and a very full breakfast. They list breakfast as continental but it's much more than that. The first tent we were in was fine but we upgraded part way through and really appreciated the extra space! '

'Good and clean family room and friendly staff. Arranged a tuktuk tour for us to discover Anuradhapura. Kids enjoyed the swimming pool as well. We only stayed one night but was an excellent place for our stop in Anuradhapura.'

'Great stay! Stayed 1 night. Very personalized service. The manager greets and checks in with each guest several times throughout the start as needed. Sri Lankan breakfast was great! Pool very nice. Was able to arrange a tuktuk transfer to several of the archaeological and religious sites within Anuradhapura for 5000 rupees (3-4 hours tour). Highly recommend!'

'Really nice hotel, with a lovely pool and sunbeds. During our first night we were situated next to the staff room, what caused a lot of noise for us during the nights. The next morning we told them about the problem and we got an upgrade to the super deluxe room! However they can work on the wifi. In the normal rooms there is no wifi, and only at the restaurant there is wifi available. After our upgrade, we had wifi in the room, so that was nice. '
