The Space:
BushLights Glade by Tiny Away is a secluded nature retreat in Kumbarilla, Queensland. Nestled within 100 acres bushland, our tiny house offers a peaceful escape in the scenic Western Downs region. Just 30 minutes from Lake Broadwater and an easy 3-hour drive from Brisbane Airport, it’s the perfect getaway for a deeper connection to the natural world.
The holiday homes offer complete privacy set in our bush camping ground. You'll have direct access to walking trails and shared community fire pit. BushLights Glade is fully off-grid, powered entirely by solar energy, and all water is collected and stored from rainfall.
Take a visit at must-see sites like Russell Tavern, Chinchilla Botanic Parkland, Dalby Diepingen Lookout, Australian Age of Dinosaurs, Hard Times Mine tour and Outback, and Qantas Founders Museum.
A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and gas-heated shower.
Guest Access:
Guests can access the tiny house and its surrounding areas, except for the land host's private residence.

Enjoy the local pubs and cafés, such as the Russell Tavern. Take a relaxing walk through the Chinchilla Botanic Parkland or admire sweeping rural views from the Dalby Diepingen Lookout. Discover highlights sites like the Australian Age of Dinosaurs in Winton, the immersive Hard Times Mine tour and Outback at Isa in Mount Isa, and the Qantas Founders Museum in Longreach.

- Mobile reception is limited to Telstra; all other networks have no signal
- Due to bushfire risk, open fires aren’t permitted, but a gas BBQ is provided
- The tiny house area is private and separate, with caravan sites about 100 m away
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
Important Note:
- BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban.
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property.
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain our cassette toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests.
