'Best location for a west Coast experience … right in the water, seals, lots of birds, super little trail around the wetlands for morning coffee walks … pub next door … and the sweetest, kindest staff!! We found a goose in trouble in the mud and the staff knew who to call for wildlife rescue and kept calling until help came! Great outdoor patio, too!'

'I have been a regular guest at the Beach Grove Motel for 20 years. It’s all about location. The motel is across the road from the entrance to Boundary Bay Regional Park. It’s a short scenic stroll to Centennial Beach and the vast bay. Low tides are simply amazing. You can walk barefoot for 2 km into the middle of the bay. Lots of tide pools with crabs. There is precious little in the way of accommodation in Tsawwassen. So I really appreciate the efforts of the staff to keep the motel going. And...

'Loved our short stay while en route from AK to OR over the Alaska highway. The room was clearly recently renovated with beautiful modern updates (shower, electronic toilet, flat screen TV, remote controlled AC units, etc). Very clean rooms, comfy beds. Pet friendly was a huge plus. Easily walkable to downtown Hope.'

'This place is basic. Very basic. It’s mostly clean, no food available on Thursday or Friday which seems counterintuitive: we needed somewhere to stay en route to somewhere else, if we had needed more than one night we would have moved on. The coffee pot was half full of cold coffee, no oven rungs for the oven (had we planned to cook) the smallest lock on the main door, fridge door needed help to shut. We met other guests who had stayed before and declared our room to be the worst of the lot. ...

'Excellent place to stay at. We had our suite just in front of the outdoor pool and shared BBQ station with some nice patio tables. The place was modernly renovated and well kept clean . AC and shower worked perfectly. The staff was friend’y and helpful.We definitely will stay here again !'

'Staff were helpful but we had some confusion after at checkout when they texted me that the key is not returned and they found it and apologized. The rooms are not bad but each room is slightly different. We had three rooms and one of them had issue sin lighting so quite dark. A/C is quite loud and blows directly to one of the beds, so you should either freeze or turn it off and tolerate the heat. Tried to let the windows open but the screens where not fit and there was a crack that allows...

'Een motel met een uistekende ligging in hartje Powell River met een prima prijs-kwaliteitverhouding. Kamers zijn deels vernieuwd (bedden, airco), deels wat verouderd (meubilair, kitchenette). Maar alles werkt goed. Motel is rustig en ligt prachtig op heuvel met zicht over de baai (mét orka's!) en met mooie zonsondergangen. De eigenaresse is supervriendelijk en heel servicegericht, ze zwaait liefst elke gast persoonlijk uit.'

'De entree van de kamer lag aan een galerij boven een restaurant waardoor alles naar kip rook. De opgang naar de entree en de kamer zelf waren zeer slecht onderhouden. Het tapijt in de kamer had plakkerige stukken en de badkamer was dringend aan onderhoud toe. Het meeste hout was kapot door vocht en de verf bladerde er al af. De ligging was prima, lekker centraal aan de promenade en gratis parkeren was fijn. De prijs van ca 250 euro voor 1 nacht was echter veel te veel.'
