'We especially liked the friendliness of the staff,the wonderful quiet garden and the breakfast.
Unluckily our whirlpool did not work and we missed a brush to clean the toilet.
But these 2 little mistakes do not bother our great experience with u Shaka manor.'

'The accommodation is very smart, comfortable clean and safe. The location is perfect for shops, restaurants and amenities- literally a 3 minute walk. The beach and famous light house are 7 minutes walk and the area is safe and well patrolled.
The hosts Bob and Sally could not be more helpful and friendly - even lent me his golf clubs but they didn’t work.'

'The service was excellent and we were so comfortable. We had a happy stay and will tell others about this great B and B. We just struggled to find out how to use the overhead fan but did finally work out that it had a remote!! The B and B is well positioned and near the beach and resturantes so it was a lovely place for us to stay.'

'The Flamingo Lodge was great! Just a few minutes walk to Umhlanga Rocks beach and the famous Whale Bone pier. Surprisingly, it is really close to the Umhlanga action and restaurants, but peaceful inside. The Staff was great, they were quick to do anything that needed doing and had access or instructions for the various activities in the area. They even helped out with the 2 year. I will certainly stay again!'

'We booked a studio with ocean view through hotels.com but it appears studio’s don’t have ocean view ? Manager accommodated is for the second night, he did his best. Uhmlanga Rocks is a nice, upscale area. Weather did not help as the hotel has a beautiful pool but it was simply too cold.'

'The Hotel is right opposite the Gateway Theatre of shopping mall which is amazing. Everything you need in shops, restaurants and bars.
Hotel is a little dated, but going through a refurbishment at the moment. The rooms are big and clean and have everything you need for a fab stay. '

The rooms have everything you would need and the décor is beautiful I left my passport, which I needed for a flight back from Pietermaritzburg at Casa Ridge and they went out of their way to get the passport to me so that I could catch my flight.
