This traditionally-styled 5 star chalet in the peaceful Le Gotty area of La Clusaz is perfect for groups of family or friends, whatever the time of year. The ski bus stops just 300m away, and it's less than 2km into the centre of La Clusaz.

In summer there are plenty of walks from your door, and in winter, the nearest ski slopes are less than 1km away, either at Envers or Combe des Juments.

The stunning views over Etale and Beauregard are perhaps best enjoyed from the hot tub on the large, sunny, wraparound terrace.
Groups of up to eight people will find plenty of space at Chalet Hollygotty, which has four bedrooms set over two floors.

There is a large double bedroom on the ground floor, which has its own shower room. There is also a separate WC. The rest of this floor is a large open-plan living area - there's a cosy seating area with a large six-seater sofa and chairs around a cosy open fire with a television over. At the other end of this L-shaped area is the well-equipped kitchen and a dining table where everyone can sit down together to catch up over a meal.

There are patio doors from the dining area to the large furnished terrace, which wraps around two sides of the chalet - at one end there is a seating area and at the other you'll find a dining area and barbecue. There's also an area to relax and catch the sun, or cool off in the delightful hot tub, which has a sophisticated water filtration system which means it is always fresh when you step in! What better way to end a day in the mountains than to relax in the bubbles as the sun sets over the mountains?

There are there more bedrooms upstairs - two double rooms, one of which has an en suite shower room, a twin room and a separate bathroom and WC.

There is a ski store in the garage, as well as a table tennis table, which can be stored away if you wish to park your car in the garage.

ABOUT THE AREA

When you stay at Chalet Hollygotty there's a great choice of winter sports just minutes from your doorstep.

The ski bus stops 300m away, making this a superb base for families and groups of friends who ski at different levels and want to visit different ski areas. There are nursery slopes, gentle blues and cross country trails on Beauregard, while more experienced skiers and boarders will find plenty of challenge at the popular La Balme area.

Non skiers will also be able to take advantage of the ski bus to visit cafes, bars, restaurants, and shops or try activities such as sledging, snow-shoe walking, dog-sledding and sleigh rides. There's also an ice rink in La Clusaz and a cinema which shows films in French and English.

If you're looking for the ultimate in relaxation, let your cares float away in the heated outdoor pool at La Clusaz, while the snow falls gently around you.

There's just as much to do at Chalet Hollygotty if you visit in the spring and summer. The pistes are transformed into lush pastures criss-crossed by hiking and biking trails.

Take a hike into the Col des Aravis, or to the base of the via ferrata from the front door, and you may spot chamois or marmottes. Enjoy the magnificent views across to the Mont Blanc chain from various points along the Col.

If you don't fancy the long climb, some parts of the ski lift system open on particular days across the summer to ferry you and your bike into the mountains of La Clusaz or Merdassier, then you can descend at your own pace. For a really special day out, you can hire donkeys from a farm on the Col des Aravis for a day's trekking, or try horse-riding, climbing and paragliding.

Just 35 minutes away, the medieval city of Annecy offers a great choice of shops, restaurants, galleries and museums, as well as swimming, boating, golf and watersports in the cleanest lake in Europe.

At the end of the day, relax over a meal in a local restaurant, or perhaps a barbecue and a glass of wine on the terrace of your chalet as the sun sinks behind the peaks.
