Surrounded by woodland and bordered by two streams, you'd think Chalet Riparian was in the middle of nowhere. In fact, it's right next to the telecabine, and just 200m from the centre of La Clusaz!

This newly-built chalet for 12 is a real find for guests who want the best of all worlds - it's ski -in, ski-out, with access to 220km of fabulous pistes across the Aravis. The ski bus stop is on your doorstep and La Clusaz's restaurants, bars, shops and ice rink are just a short walk away.

The chalet's wonderful garden has been landscaped to provide a peaceful haven with furnished terraces, built-in benches and evening lighting, perfect for long summer evenings.

With luxury extras such as a sauna and hot tub, and useful features such as a heated ski store and a laundry room, Chalet Riparian has all the ingredients you need for an unforgettable mountain holiday.

You'll enter Chalet Riparian on the ground floor. There's plenty of room to store your outdoor equipment, skis and boots in the heated lockers in the entrance lobby and the laundry room is on this floor too. There are also two bedrooms - a twin room and a bunk room for four, with a Playstation. These rooms share a shower room.

Take the stairs up to the first floor, where you'll find three more bedrooms - a double room with en suite shower and access to a terrace, and two more en suite rooms with king size beds (one of which can be set up as a twin if this is preferred)Both of these rooms have balcony access, and one also has access to a terrace at the side of the chalet. All of the bedrooms have their own television, so there'll never be a fight for the remote control!

The spa area is also on the first floor: there's a sauna and shower as well as a sheltered terrace with a hot tub - relax in the bubbles and watch the skiers on the piste through the trees.

From the first floor the stairs lead to the centre of the living area on the top floor. On one side is the modern, well-equipped kitchen with an island breakfast bar, the large dining table and bookshelves, while on the other, comfortable sofas, chairs and coffee tables are grouped around a central fireplace and the television. This is where you can all get together to watch a film, share stories of your day and perhaps plan your next mountain adventure. Stairs lead down from this area to the terrace and garden to the rear of the chalet , where you can watch the sun set or perhaps enjoy a barbecue.

With the lifts on your doorstep and an Aravis ski pass, you have access to 220km of pistes and 95 lifts, so you will never be short of somewhere new to explore. There’s great terrain for cross-country skiers at the nearby Confins and Beauregard plateaus.

It's a great location for non-skiers too, with the neighbouring ice-skating rink and a cinema in La Clusaz, as well as sledging, snow-shoe walking, dog-sledding and sleigh rides. If you’re looking for the ultimate in relaxation, let your cares float away in the village’s heated outdoor pool, while the snow falls gently around you.

There's just as much going on in the summer, and when you stay at Chalet Riparian, you won’t need a car to enjoy everything the mountains have to offer.

Hike into the Col des Aravis, or let the telecabine ferry you and your bike to the top, so you can come back down at your own pace. Other activities available in the area include horse-riding, climbing, via ferrata and paragliding. The mountains around La Clusaz are criss-crossed with tracks and paths, so there is always somewhere new to discover.

The beautiful lakeside town of Annecy is just 30 minutes away by car, and is a great destination for a day out. The lake is said to be the cleanest in Europe and in the summer it’s a lovely place for water sports, cycling, swimming or you can just hire a boat and explore the lakeside beaches.

If you just want to relax, why not soak up the sun on the terrace or balcony, or visit the beautiful swimming pool complex in La Clusaz? Later you can catch up with friends and family over a barbecue in the beautiful garden at Chalet Riparian, as the sun sets behind the mountains.

PLEASE NOTE: The access road has a sharp incline in places and care should be taken when descending, especially in winter. It is imperative that your vehicle is fitted with the correct equipment (winter tyres/snow chains) and you are confident driving in snowy and icy conditions. While the road is regularly cleared of snow, we cannot guarantee that it will be clear as soon as you need to use it (for example to depart for a flight). If there is heavy snowfall we recommend that you leave your car in one of the public car parks in the village and only take it to the chalet for collection and drop-off. The private access road may only be used by guests staying at Chalet Riparian, who use it at their own risk. The owner accepts no liability for any loss or injury suffered as a result. IMPORTANT : there is a stream on both sides of the property and children should always been supervised by adults.
