The room was nice and as pictured, that’s why it’s getting a star! However, during our entire 4 night stay, one of the bedroom toilet was closed to us. The front desk told us it was due to a leak from the condo above us. But for whatever reason, we were unable to use that toilet and the leak caused a horrible sewage smell to linger during our entire trip. This made it difficult to stay in that room at all, we had to sleep on the couch. We notified the front desk but all they did was spray the room. That doesn’t really solve the issue as the smell would just come back. They did not offer us any other compensation for this setback. Maybe even a complimentary housekeeping for one day would have been nice ($25 USD otherwise). Overall, I have to say it is a poorly managed company and I would mostly likely not book again. I had a much better experience staying at vista coral condos or playa de la Paz oceanfront from direct owners.
This review is for the condos at vistamar. It can be confusing because it has other sections such as blue indigo hotel or las colinas. So future renters are aware, vistamar has its own gym and pool. Sounds great but the downside is, the pool is not heated. This mattered for us because in January, it was cold! Also, the gym is 24 hours but a third of the equipment wasn’t functional. Also, parking was very limited. It’s first come first serve and fits about 15 cars; which is not a lot for a huge building. The alternative is to park about 1 mile away.
