Eric, it is unfortunate that you felt that we could have done more as hosts considering we did everything to go above and beyond for your stay, just as we do with all our guests. For starters, you booked our house for 4 persons when in fact you were a total of 14 guests staying at our villa. Instead of automatically cancelling your booking for mis-stating your party size, we went above and beyond to try to get in contact with you for weeks to correct this error which took us multiple attempts via different avenues of communications over weeks of time before we could get a response. Everything that comes included with our villa, and all procedures and extra expenses are very specifically detailed in the terms of our rental agreement and as hosts we personally made sure to overly communicate all details to you in multiple conversations prior to your arrival. Including responding to a few pages of itemized question sent over by different family members in your group. On our end we had everything ready with sufficient time prior to your arrival, which includes having purchased all requested food items and sent over all passports and details needed to be granted access to our villa to Casa De Campo registration. With that said, certain delays caused by Casa De Campo registration office can be out of our hands but we remained in constant communication and worked with registration office to get the matter of access resolved as soon as possible. We also made sure to promptly answer all phone calls and respond to any inquiries including the multiple phone calls we received as early as 6am on Thanksgiving Day (a federal holiday). Lastly, there is no evidence or reasonable explanation to support your claims that our staff used your card to double charge you for groceries and we have done more than what can be expected of us to promptly investigate and respond to your allegations, to no avail. You are requesting reimbursement for a charge on your credit card statement which — based on your own admission — was incurred on a date when only you could have been in possession or had access to the card but more importantly an entire day prior to when you ever provided the card to our staff for them to complete grocery purchases on your behalf. You also had ample opportunity to receive, and review all receipts for all grocery purchases made on your behalf (including the one which was made prior to your arrival which you were required to reimburse our staff for) and at at no point during your stay or at the time our staff presented you with the receipts did you ever raise any concerns or claims regarding costs or charges incurred nor have you been able to provide copies of those receipts which would support your claims of a double charge. Instead the only evidence you provided is a very poorly cropped out screen shot of a credit card statement that only shows certain charges and dates when those charges were made. Despite our recommendations you have also opted not to further investigate the matter with the grocery store or your credit card company. So to be clear, and as we have made sure to explain to you in very great detail, there is no foundation to your allegations of our staff over charging you for groceries, and regardless of your very accusatory comments and pushy demands, we are still happy to provide any reasonable assistance on our part to help you with finding an explanation for the charges on your credit card statement. Unfortunately for us you, it is very clear that no matter what we do on our end you have no intentions or desire to provide any actual evidence or explanation to support you ill-founded accusations and instead you just continue to unreasonably demand that we issue you a reimbursement for a charge which is not our responsibility and which was likely incurred on your end. We have never had these types of issues or concerns with any of our previous renters and we feel that our reviews and feedback from all our previous renters is more than telling of the type and quality of service we always strive to provide which is a top-rated first class experience that commences the minute of booking and continues through guests stay at our villa and even after they leave.
