Other things to do in and near La Verkin:

There is a new city park in Hurricane for kids just a couple blocks from the home. In the summer, it has water features, including a splash pad with water spouts for kids to run through. It also has basketball hoops and a playground. Back at the home there are plenty of books, games and puzzles for kids to use while they are there.

The city pool in Hurricane opens May 15th and stays open through Labor Day weekend. It is a very nice outdoor pool with a snack bar.

Southern Utah is a bike lovers paradise! Bike out of the driveway, or take a quick drive to Gooseberry, JEM, or any of the other trails that are nearby (15 minutes from our home). The views from these world class bike trails are stunning and the weather is amazing, especially in the spring and fall, making it especially enjoyable for all day rides. Over the Edge bike shop is really close to our house, so you can get riding tips or trail advice or get things fixed quickly and easily by knowledgeable experts of this area.

There are some parades that come through town, and we think it is fun. July 4th, July 24th, and then Peach Days over labor day weekend. Each of these celebrations includes a fun local parade. They don't last long. People just set their chairs on the front lawn, and the parade goes by.

These great settings are perfect for a picturesque hike and a picnic! Make sure to check out the local ATV trails. Hurricane is ideally situated between the little town of Panguitch and St. George. Get ready for an abundance of great scenery and a truly unforgettable retreat!

We had nine of us in this house - five teens and four adults. The house is in a great location - close to Zion National Park, which we went to every day. The house is incredibly well stocked and the owners have made everything easy - there are phone chargers for use all over the house, plenty of beds and rest areas. The primary bathroom is so nice. We had trouble with the ice maker in the freezer and the Kuerig (wouldn't turn on), but those could have been user errors and there was another coffee pot we used instead. Grocery stores, gas stations, coffee places were all nearby. This was a GREAT stay - highly recommend!

The house was great and just as described! The location was convenient and the neighborhood was quiet. Tons of dishes and appliances in the kitchen to cook. The keurig didn’t work though.

This house was perfect for our small family reunion with 15 people (4 couples, teens, children). We loved the house. There was a big family room for gatherings, a great kitchen, and all the bedrooms and bathrooms needed. The little kids enjoyed playing in the yard and the hot tub was a fun option. The game room in the garage was great for a games tournament. We visited Zion NP and some local attractions and that was super helpful.

We were a group of 6 guys traveling for a 40th birthday. Wife made the reservation for our stay to be our "base camp" for the long weekend away. Easy access to all thr Utah parks--great location! Comfortable accommodations, the beds felt great after hiking all day and the hottub soothed the soreness. We enjoyed our stay!

We loved everything about our stay. The host was very prompt in answering any questions we had. The beds were so comfortable, and we all looked to find out where the pillows were from. The Kitchen was huge and just prefect for what we needed for such a big group. I would totally recommend this place, and we plan on staying again!!

Our family of 4 couples had a wonderful time staying in this house. There was plenty of space for everyone. The games in the garage were really fun. We had a small issue with ants in the kitchen and a slow drain in the bathroom- but otherwise an enjoyable stay.

My family stayed here for a reunion, and just by looking at the pictures we thought it would be smaller than what it was and it was huge for our family of 10. There was plenty of space for everyone and it had a wonderful grill and barbecue. There were three extra small beds in the master bedroom that we were able to pull out for our younger kids to sleep on, and we were thrilled that every room had a TV. The house was really cold, and the game room was amazing. It was a wonderful place to come home to the end of the day. I will definitely stay here again. The only thing that caught us off guard were ants coming in from the back porch but that is something everyone Hass to deal with no matter where you go so we were able to get that cleared out and cleaned up.

Great way to relax after exploring Zion! The house was spacious, clean, and well-equipped. Our teens and young adults loved the big screen tv and game room set up in the garage. After full days of hiking, it was great to come back to this house where everyone could spread out and have down time. Great kitchen too! Hosts were very responsive and helpful. Great stay!

I booked this property with my extended family for a trip to visit Zion National Park. The house is amazing. The pictures do not do the house justice, as there is so much more room than what is depicted. There was more than enough room for the whole family. While the location is a bit of a drive to Zion compared to Springdale, but it is good for access to both the Zion main entrance and the Kolob Canyon entrance. The owner was incredibly prompt with communication and quickly took care of everything we needed. There was even a small backyard playground set that my daughter enjoyed. This is a wonderful property and we would be happy to book again if we find ourselves exploring the Zion area in the future.

We had a crew staying here at this house for a couple weeks while they were working on a big event in town. Perfect reviews from all of them with no complaints. A ton of beds, entertainment and everything was working great. I would definitely recommend renting this home! We will be back again next year!

I recently stayed here with 14 friends. The place is so beautiful and very spacious. We had everything we needed and Derrick was very good at communicating. We realized that the coffee maker wasn’t working properly. When I communicated with Derrick, he was very quick to offer to get us a replacement. We had Keurig pods, so we were able to do without it, but it was nice of Derrick to offer it. The house was very clean. The drive to Zion National Park wasn’t too bad. It was about 25 minutes away. This house has everything and more. We absolutely loved staying here.
