Imagine Apartment @ Birdhouse Guesthouse

Imagine a unique cozy apartment perfect for a live/work/play environment for 1-2 people. Great value for a long term stay! Large Queen bedroom with desk/office. and TV. High speed internet. The bath is an elegant spa room---oversized shower with a rain shower head & soaking tub. Great kitchen & dining. The lounge has a sofa with two recliners and a day bed sofa (Temperpedic adjustable bed} Outside pergola gazebo seating, dining & cooking areas. Laundry room & back yard fire pit area are shared with one other guest. If you stay for a month we will furnish a remote control to have access to garage parking!

The space
Our apartment is compact and efficient and is in a building with one other apartment. The Imagine Apartment is quiet and centrally located. It comes with everything that you need to live/work/play in a safe and private environment. Our space is often used by medical personnel working shifts, so it is set up with black-out curtains and sound reduction. It has high speed internet and is perfect for working from "home". The apartment has a full desk and egonomic leather chair. We designed our apartment so that it has a clear sense of home without you needing to bring any furnishings.. We love minimalism and have created our minimalist kitchen so that you can prepare and enjoy meals indoors or out.

You will have a full-size refrigerator with ice maker. Microwave, toaster oven, electric skillet and grill, induction cooktop and lots of dishes, cooking pans & utensils. Of course we furnish all towels and high end bedding and pillows.

The lounge has a day bed and comfortable reading chair by the window. There are two TV's--One one the lounge and the other in the bedroom. Both have Netflix and Hulu.

The huge pergola is an amazing asset for a home in this price range, Dining table and sofa mean you can enjoy Lafayette's mild climate year around. We don't furnish a grill, but guests often bring one because it is perfect for cooking in our outdoor kitchen..

Our quiet work environment is excellent for video conference calls, with high speed internet and a economic desk and chair, and interesting backdrops.

The Birdhouse Guesthouse is on the same property. The spacious yards between the properties is separated by an 8' privacy fence.

The Imagine Apartment and the Studio at the Birdhouse share a large backyard with flowers, trees and a fire pit. if you bring a dog, you will love having this large shady play area. There is a large city park within walking distance and sidewalks in the neighborhood. If you a bringing a dog, please contact me about specific rules and procedures for furry friends. You will need to furnish a crate for leaving your pet home alone. No dogs are allowed on the bed and you will need to bring a covering for the day/bed in the living room. There is a $50 pet fee.

The laundry room is a space shared with one other person in the Sanctuary Studio Apartment. It has free use of a full size washer/dryer. A cat lives in the larger yard, but does not come into the apartments unless invited! You might occasionally see the guest from the studio apartment when coming or going. It is easy to maintain a sense of privacy because of the use of fences and gardens.

This infö pertains to guests who are approved to bring a dog:

The yard is an area where guests from both apartments may use to walk or exercise a dog. Please scoop poop immediately. It is important that you maintain control of your dog and use a leash. If two dogs are on the property at one time, we require that only one dog be in the yard at a time.

We have a neighboring dog named Zeus. He barks if you or your dog go close to the fence line. You will need to insure that your dog does not bark in the back yard, since this may disturb the other guests. We have an additional area in the front yard where you can walk your dog, A park is also within walking distance.

The Imagine apartment includes two off -street parking places.

Use of Laundry Room is shared with one other guest. Laundry room has a full size free washer and dryer, cleaning tools and supplies.

My cat Bodacious live in the larger yard, but he does not into the apartments unless invited. He tolerates dogs and usually finds them amusing and it accustomed to sharing space with them.
