Luxe accommodatie voor 6 personen in de volledig gerestaureerde historische villa

Villa Castiglioni is de oorspronkelijke naam van deze fantastische historische villa die werd gebouwd door een beroemde Italiaanse architect E. Sommaruga in 1900. Nu prachtig gerestaureerd deze architecturale parel staat over 3 verdiepingen op een heuvel met uitzicht op het Comomeer. Villa Castiglioni ligt tussen het vijfsterrenresort Villa D'Este en Villa Oleandra, eigendom van een Hollywood-ster George Clooney. Het huurobject beslaat de hele bovenverdieping (220 m²) met 2 slaapkamers (queensize bed + 2 eenpersoonsbedden die kunnen worden samengevoegd, extra lange bedden), 2 ruimtes en royale badkamers, een met een hete buis Teuco en de tweede met een krachtige douche Teuco, 80m² woon-eetkamer en een volledig uitgeruste keuken. Er zijn nog 2 banken in de woonkamer. Het hele pand is voorzien van airconditioning, behalve de 2e slaapkamer die een directe toegang tot het terras heeft en is uitgerust met een ventilator van de laatste generatie. De derde slaapkamer heeft 2 aparte bedden, de 3D-badkamer is ruim en met natuurlijk licht en bevindt zich in het appartement op de begane grond, waar u ook een tv / fitnessruimte vindt, met TECNOGYM-apparatuur, was- en strijkfaciliteiten. Het appartement op de begane grond is zeer privé en gezellig, maar niet zo luxe als het hoofdappartement. Het interieurontwerp van deze woning is gemaakt door een gerenommeerd atelier in Milaan. De buitenruimte beschikt over een panoramisch terras om buiten te eten met een christal-tafel voor 8 personen, een eigen tuin met een bubbelbad voor 4 personen, ligbedden en parasol. De hele woning heeft een eigen toegang vanuit een verzorgde tuin met uitzicht op het COMOMEER. Wifi, satelliet-tv en parkeergelegenheid op eigen terrein zijn ook beschikbaar zonder extra kosten. De villa ligt op een heuvel met een spectaculair panoramisch uitzicht op het Comomeer en de omliggende heuvels. De afstand van Como is 15 km, van Milaan - 65 km, van Lugano (Zwitserland) - 45 km. In de omgeving zijn er veel zeer goede restaurants, bars en winkels. Tennisbanen en golfcursussen bevinden zich op korte afstand, een bootstation en een bushalte bevinden zich ook op loopafstand van de accommodatie. De villa zit op een heuvel op 100 meter van de oever van het meer. Het dichtstbijzijnde openbare strand ligt op loopafstand. Ook zijn er voetgangerspaden met een adembenemend panoramisch uitzicht, vlak voor de poort van de villa.

Luxury on Lake Como

We had a wonderful experience during our stay. This is one of the most beautiful villas in the area, in fact so beautiful that you may not want to leave to do anything else! Our host was very accommodating and helpful from start to finish and provided us some wonderful recommendations throughout our visit. We especially loved the boat excursion and private chef's dinner she arranged for us! Plan to bring your food and favorite beverages and just enjoy the scenery outside from the spacious veranda overlooking the lake!

Historic villa property beautifully restored in an amazing location with amazing view. Lunch and dinners on the covered veranda. Would have been better if bath for second bedroom were not down the hall. The owner was wonderful. At our request arranged for a private chef to come to the villa which was lots of fun, and delicious. She also arranged for restaurant reservation for the evening we arrived. Owner communication was excellent! We loved our stay!!!

We recently stayed at the villa for a long weekend and enjoyed it so much we extended for 2 extra days! The villa itself is bright, inviting and comfortable! The views are breathtaking and Caterina the host was a delight! She was readily available and patiently helped us learn about the area from boats to great restaurants! She is literally one of those people you feel like you have been friends for a long time! We most certainly will return!!!

Wonderful Experience - Fantastic Destination Host

The property is even better than pictured. The owner also took on the role of destination host and helped us figure out transportation and restaurant reservations and boat charters which was completely above and beyond. I am type A so I like an extremely clean and neat environment and this villa was perfect for me. I would stay there again and I would highly recommend it to anyone else looking for a respite palace in paradise. The view from the front porch (and the main living room just behind it) is to die for. There is a giant table on that porch where we began each day with coffee and ended with a fabulous glass of that incredible Italian wine.

Wonderful Stay

Our stay at Caterina’s house in Lake Como was truly amazing. The location is ideal, the house is even better than pictured, and the views are fabulous. The house has every amenity you could need for a comfortable stay, including a fully stocked kitchen, air conditioning, and blackout shades for sleeping. What really made our stay stand out, however, was Caterina’s hosting. She arranged dinner reservations for us, suggested places to see and things to do on the lake, got us groceries for breakfast, booked a delightful boat tour of the lake, and arranged for a truly delicious private chef one night (very possibly the best meal we had on our stay in Italy). A cleaner also came twice during our nearly week long stay which was very helpful. I could not recommend this place more highly, it has been one of our best vacation stays. If you are considering - do not hesitate, just book!!

The Most Beautiful Villa

My three adult children, my son-in-law, and my husband and I stayed in this magical villa in late September/early October. We were greeted by Ekaterina, who gave us a thorough tour of her beautiful property. She also was so helpful in arranging a driver to meet us at the train station in Milan as well as a driver to take us to the airport on the day we left. She also arranged for us the most amazing private boat tour of Lake Como. Additionally, she stocked the refrigerator with groceries we requested, and she helped us make dinner reservations at nearby restaurants. She truly went above and beyond. The villa with something out of a movie. It has been perfectly restored to its original glory, and the view of the lake from the living room and the two bedrooms was breathtaking. The bathrooms are lovely, the villa is spacious, and there are air conditioners in most of the rooms for when the temperatures were warmer outside. The villa is set in a quiet neighborhood, and the only problem we had was finding a convenient place to eat dinner because the neighborhood restaurant that is five minutes away had closed early for the season. We were able to find restaurants which required us to walk about 20 minutes both ways, but we needed the exercise considering all the pasta we were eating. I cannot recommend this wonderful place more highly. We would come back here in a minute. We just felt so lucky to stay here.

Words can’t describe how lovely the villa is. Everything was as described. Location incredible. But the most amazing part was the host. Without a doubt the best host we have ever experienced at a villa rental. She handled everything for us Far beyond our expectations. Our only regret was leaving after 4 days. Next trip will be much longer.

A Beautiful Lake Villa

My brother, sister-in-law, and I enjoyed 4 days in Villa Castiglione overlooking beautiful Lake Como. Caterina picked us up at the train station and welcomed us to the beautiful villa. She helped with preparations for our trip by making reservations that we requested and stocking the kitchen with a few groceries. Caterina was available during our stay for any questions we might have. One of the highlights of our trip was the dinner that chef Alberto De Mail prepared for us at the villa. While we enjoyed exploring the lake and some of the nearby towns, the highlight of our trip was relaxing on the comfortable veranda overlooking the lake. We would certainly stay here again if we returned to the Lake Como area.

The most ideal VRBO on this side of the lake

For two families property is ideal. The master bedroom is very large and allowed for the infant to sleep in the parents room undisturbed. The second bedroom was perfect for us as grandparents. However we took advantage of the downstairs third bedroom for privacy on occasion. The property has electronic outdoor window shades that darkens rooms at night and minimizes heat transfer in the afternoons. The views were fabulous! Although there was a construction crane just below us it did not interfere with the enjoyment of the property at all. With the development on and around the lake these cranes are prevalent just about everywhere. The living area/dining area was very large and well furnished. The kitchen was perfect to make a quick meal or an omelette for breakfast. The laundry room was downstairs and allowed us to keep our personal items laundered for our two week stay. The property was only about a 10 minute walk to the lake where there was a choice of restaurants and a nearby park for our infant daughter to enjoy with her parents. The property is only about a 15 to 20 minute car ride to major towns and with stores. The owner was very helpful in preparing the property for us and arranging for a high chair and the few grocery items we needed for the first few days. She also recommended great restaurants and obtained reservations for us with the best table for great views. We really liked the housekeeper too to keep beds made and fresh towels .

The property was absolutely gorgeous with stunning views. The pictures don't do it justice. It was conveniently located to Cernobbio and Como. There were several great restaurants within walking distance of the villa. Caterina was a wonderful host and very easy to communicate with through VRBO app or Whatsapp. She made several fantastic dinner reservations for us. Make sure you reserve a boat tour with Francesco. We had a wonderful time.

Heaven on earth

Villa Castiglioni is wonderful! The villa is gorgeous, and the views are straight from a travel magazine. Caterina is a fabulous host, responding immediately to every question we had. She even provided taxi service from Cernobbio when we got stuck there upon arrival. Laglio is a lovely little town, with cafes, restaurants and incredibly friendly people. This was the most relaxing vacation we've ever had.

Lake Como Paradise

Absolutely beautiful Villa! The best possible base location to see all the attractions Lake Como has to offer. Scenery is stunning ! Highly recommend renting a car. The locals were very helpful and cordial! We unconditionally recommend this property .

A very special place in a special area.

This villa on lake Como is very special. The way this villa has been restored, updated and cared for is simply incredible. The grounds were beautiful, and anything we could possibly need was in the villa. Our hosts were very helpful, friendly and genuinely cared about our comfort and enjoyment. Inside the villa, the furnishings were really nice and comfortable. The views of the lake from all the windows were just amazing. Lake Como is truly a magical place and this villa makes enjoying it special Convenient central location to explore all the lake region has to offer. In life you get what you pay for. This was worth every penny for a truly special experience. Highly recommend it, and we will return.

This place is unspeakably beautiful!

The villa sits on a hill overlooking Lake Como. The villa is well appointed with a modern kitchen and bathrooms. The views outside are spectacular. Katrina was the perfect hostess even filling the fridge with food and wine we had requested. We’d stay there again in a heartbeat! Loved every minute!

What an amazing stay. Next time we’re coming for a week. Our host was sensational, the home the most beautiful villa imagineable, widely considered to be better than George Cluny’s villa (that is 500m away).

Amazing!

This property accommodated or family of 6 perfectly! It is truly a special place to stay. It’s more beautiful than the pictures. Furnishings are high quality, beds comfortable and an overall feeling of class and elegance. The view of Lake Como is AMAZING! Hindsight, we wish we had hired a chef and enjoyed eating right on our deck. Ekaterina was gracious and very informative. We highly suggest renting a boat and enjoy the lake. Thank you for making our Holiday special! We’d love to return someday!
