Quinta da Luz is not your typical holiday rental. Tucked away on a hillside above the village of Luz, this authentic Portuguese farmhouse offers something rare: complete peace and quiet, wide open sea views, a private pool and a generous, characterful interior, all just 4 minutes from the beach by car.

The villa has three bedrooms, all with air conditioning and the same warm rustic character, with exposed wooden beam ceilings throughout. Two bedrooms have double beds and one has two single beds, making it ideal for families or groups. There are two full bathrooms. The large open-plan living and kitchen area is the heart of the house, with a fireplace, comfortable seating, a flat-screen TV and a fully equipped kitchen with oven, hob, dishwasher, washing machine and coffee maker. The space has real soul and a lived-in warmth that is hard to find.

Step outside onto the covered terrace and you are immediately rewarded with sweeping views over the hills and down to the sea. The terrace has a large dining table for al fresco meals, hanging hammocks and plenty of space to relax. The private pool sits a short walk from the house, surrounded by sun loungers and mature trees, with the sea glittering in the distance. It is the kind of spot where time slows down.

Praia da Luz, with its calm waters, good restaurants and relaxed village atmosphere, is just a short drive away. Lagos, with its historic centre, nightlife and wider beaches, is also easily reachable by car.

Please note: the property is accessed via a private track that is mostly surfaced with tarmac and gravel in some sections, with uneven patches along the way.
