HET IS ALTIJD GEWELDIG HIER ... VISSEND OP UW PRIVÉPIJLER, MAANLICHTWANDELEN LANGS HET STRAND OF KIJKENDE ZON ONDERZOMEN OP DE BAAI NAAR STAR LIT NIGHTS.

Er zijn er niet veel ... Geniet van je eigen verlichte vispier, ervaar spectaculaire zonsopgangen boven de Golf en zonsondergangen boven Little Drum Bay. En het beste van alles is dat als u uw boot meeneemt, u naast de deur kunt lanceren en parkeren bij de geplaveide privébootlancering en uw boot bij onze privépier kunt parkeren.

Voltooid in juni 2008, heeft dit huis twee zeer grote overdekte balkons met uitzicht op Little Drum Bay. Kijk hoe de kinderen op de verlichte pier vissen terwijl je zachtjes zwaait in de futon-hangmat die is ontworpen om twee volwassenen vast te houden. Lees je favoriete boek, dutje of geniet van je favoriete drankje terwijl je de spectaculaire zonsondergangen bekijkt.

Binnen kunt u ontspannen in de ruime en open plattegrond die is ontworpen voor groepen van elk formaat. De keuken heeft roestvrijstalen apparatuur. Gastronomische koks vinden het leuk om hun favoriete gerechten te bereiden, luisteren naar hun favoriete muziek terwijl ze naar het uitzicht op de baai kijken.

Er zijn drie slaapkamers boven, maar er is beneden een af en toe een late aankomst of opa's snurken.

Het strand is slechts 1. 5 blokken verderop. Laad de stoelen, paraplu en koeler en putter naar het strand om zandkastelen, wakeboard, surfvissen te bouwen of gewoon een beetje achterover te leunen en van het uitzicht te genieten. Wanneer u thuiskomt, afspoelen onder de buitendouche met warm en koud water.

Aan het eind van de dag kun je met de familie bordspellen spelen, onder de sterren zitten, smores spelen boven het vuur in de vuurplaats of films of tv kijken.

Er zijn een verscheidenheid aan andere activiteiten, waaronder lokale restaurants, putt-putt-golf, Moody Gardens, het Schlitterbahn-waterpark, het zuidelijke luchtmachtmuseum en The Strand, een winkelgebied van wereldklasse in Galveston.

Er is geen betere waarde in een gezinsvakantie die zoveel opties biedt.

Grandkids meet the ocean!

Our family had a great time fishing off the dock and visiting the beach. We had a crab boil, which was delicious. There was even a brief visit from an alligator. The kids loved getting to see different species of crabs in action. We were a little disappointed that the launch next to the house was only big enough for kayaks, but everyone still had lots of fun. This place is great for a family gathering because it's close to Galveston and Houston and the beach and fishing!

The property was very clean and contained everything you you could need for a comfortable stay. I was impressed by how well the kitchen was stocked with accessories necessary to cook any meal. The beach was only a two minute ride and there was a hot/cold shower to rinse off in before entering the hose. The entire family enjoyed the stay.

Excellent fishing retreat

Right in the center of great fishing spots. Fish drum bay from the private dock or take your boat/kayak up to the connecting Christmas bay just a couple miles away. Also from the cabin if you turn left on blue water hwy it’s only 10 minute drive to San Luis Pass. Or turn right and drive 10 minutes to the Freeport jetties. The cabin itself great….clean, comfortable, and accommodating. Easily slept 8 people with room to spare.

Overall, it was a really nice trip. The only thing wrong was the faucet in the upstairs bathroom was broken. The owner did state it was ordered and would be replaced. Bring your off, the mosquitos were bad.

Best of both worlds!

We love this home on the bay and across the street from the beach! The kids enjoy crabbing right from the deck and the house has crabbing traps and a canoe for the guests use. We have been here many times and after this trip the entire family agreed this is our favorite VRBO rental!

Wonderful Gulfside Property

My sister and I were surprising our parents with a trip to the beach and this was the perfect place for us. We took family pictures on the pier, got sunburned on the beach, went fishing and enjoyed the day. I didn’t see a fire pit but with the weekend being so humid and mosquito-y we didn’t spend too much time outside except the last night when we went fishing. If we ever went back to the gulf this is where we would stay.

So glad I brought my fishing pole

Absolutely stunning! We all, hands down, agreed it was one of the best last minute planned getaways ever. The house is cozy, welcoming and very comfortable. If you are looking for technology, this is not it. The wifi was very good but the tv is basic - no streaming in the family area. There is a FireStick upstairs but who cares. The view, the water and the highlight in our opinion was the double decks. We literally lived on the decks. The sunrise and set are amazing. Two never came down. I fished (last minute decision) and caught stingrays, crabs, catfish and crocker. Extremely relaxing. The owners are so sweet! The previous reviews are spot on so I will not repeat - we needed nothing except food. Can't wait to come back.

This is the only place I will ever stay at Surfside. I love the owners and the place is perfect. Every time we stay here we build new outstanding memories!!! We enjoyed our stay. Overall, we are very happy with the property, amenities, and the stay we were offered. Some of the deck railing was missing which left holes large enough for my toddler to potentially fit through. We didn’t let her get close enough to the edge anyway, but if she had, it could have potentially be dangerous. Inside could have been cleaner upon arrival, but it was fine. There were some ants inside. We really did enjoy our stay though! And we loved the space we had for the amount of people we brought.

Great Stay!

We highly recommend this home! It was beautiful staying right on the bay and out of the hustle and bustle of the city! We enjoyed the dock and sitting on the upper patio watching the sunsets! Our grandkids loved riding their scooters on the patio and it was great being so close to the beach! Most days the beach was pretty empty so we felt like we had it all to ourselves! We would love to stay again!

Escaped the Rat Race

We enjoyed our time here. It was tranquil and full of nature. We spent lots of time on the main deck watching the birds and fish. We liked being so close to the beach and had a fun day trip to Galveston. We cooked at the house and enjoyed down time with family. My brother-in-law caught several fish off the pier and a crab that scurried off the pier into the water quickly.

Great for fishing or just relaxing by the water

We enjoyed our time here. We were sent information on how gain access to the home well in advance of our arrival. The home was spacious and clean; no bugs. Lots of appliances in the kitchen such as the crockpot, air fryer/toaster oven and electric griddle allowed for lots of meals at home. Fresh drinking water was provided. The dock out back was fun to try fishing, though we didn't catch anything. The fire pit was nice to sit at in the evenings; firewood was provided. Took just a few minutes walking to get to the beach. Our view of the bay was beautiful. A cold front blew in the day before we left bringing heavy winds and rain from the west; the double doors that opened up to the back deck held up and kept the rain out and the floors dry. When we were stuck inside due to the weather, there were plenty of cable TV stations to choose from.

Family gathering

Several of us came together for a wedding in the area. This included 7 adults and 3-5 children at times 8 yrs old and under. Although the living area isn't huge, we never felt cramped or lacking space. The bedrooms were decent size and comfortable. Plenty of linens for everyone. We really enjoyed relaxing on the large deck over looking the sound. There is also very easy beach access that is no more than a five minute walk. Only things I would improve on is a few loose banisters on the deck made us a little leary with the children playing. Also the keyless entry was very finicky and gave us some trouble getting in a few times. Lastly, there was an odd odor when we first entered. It becomes unnoticeable after a little while but is kind of unpleasant at first. I will say be sure to bring ice because there are no ice cube trays or an ice making refrigerator. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would return.

Very clean and not a single bug indoors, in response to a recent review. The beds were comfortable and the house has everything you may need. Very fast internet and DISH network. My husband and son caught several redfish from their kayaks. We plan to return.

House was great and water views were perfect

House was as described and had all the amenities. I really only had one complaint and that is the fact that there were roaches in the house. I paid over a thousand dollars for 4 days and had to deal with roaches. Over all house was great but needs to be exterminated. Would have given them 5 stars if not for the roaches.

Great location and size

Our family of five had a great time at the property. Plenty of opportunities to fish and crab from the dock. Friendly patrons use the ramp next door for kayaking. The beach is a short walk away. The host was communicative and helpful. There is plenty of space and good amenities. Like many rental properties, a few things could use updating. But overall, 5/5 experience, would stay again.
